From my personal experience ive been getting worse staying here both mentally and physically than when i was out sleeping under a bridge. Seemed pretty helpful at first but its caused nothing but more stress and their way of handling problems between clients and staff have made things harder on myself and TONS of other clients ive spoken to. I hang around with more than 10+ clients daily and listen to at a few everyday rant to me (or witness myself) about something the ync failed to do. Ik some staff sleep w clients. When problems occur they are so quick to shut u down or kick you out if u ask to speak w a higher up. Or will kick u out without getting to the bottom of situations and take one persons side. Sometimes depending on the staff handling the situation theyll pick sides of the person depending on their race or gender. I am very hesitant when going to staff about my own problems w other clients because of how i seen them deal with others with the same problem as mine. Lots of staff are very rude and disrespectful for no reason. I spent my first few days there keeping my head down and VERY quiet but still had staff speak to me like i was a problematic child. Allegedly some staff have not had PROPER training? I can tell u for a fact every time ppl argue with staff its cause the staff made a snarky/rude comment first. They are very sensitive and need to realize they are working with YOUTH and speaking to CLIENTS. We are in need of a place to stay and our mental is horrible… the last thing we need when we think we finally found a place we can feel comfortable and safe at is the constant disrespect and lack of care. But they make good food so whatever right?

so many people ik in the shelter came there sober/clean and end up relapsing or getting worse bc they cant deal w the bs
