I've had the pleasure of volunteering here twice with my boys' school. They have an amazing town set up where the kids can learn how businesses are run, how to balance a checkbook, how to use a debit card and how to work as a team. I highly recommend Ameritowne for 4th and 5th graders! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and they all seem to really enjoy their job.

This is an amazing program. I wish I could bring my kids here without the school. I am thinking of doing the summer camp because the experience was so amazing! The kids learn to work for money and get to spend it on cool little prizes. This should be mandatory for all schools!! AMAZING!!!!!!

I have taken fifth grade students from Granby and Fraser Valley Elementary schools here numerous times over the last 9 years. Always an interesting experience both for the adults and the students. Basically it's a small town with numerous services. Each student is assigned a position to fill and earns points. There is a mayor, banker, newspaper, store, police, etc. Program takes about 4 hours, including a lunch break.
Highly recommended

My daughter had such an amazing time participating in the Young Ameritown program.

The school prepped her for a semester with training for what her particular role would be. My daughter has always had a strong desire to pursue entrepreneurship and this program was a great experience for her.

On the day of the event she enjoyed connecting with other children and it helped build a strong sense of confidence.

Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity.

I did this program when I was a kid. I remember it being the best time I ever had in elementary school, not only did the teachers at my school make that whole school year amazing by rewarding fake cash. I thought every school did this in colorado and was very sad to find out that I was a very lucky child that got to learn such a vast amount of knowledge from basic elections for major roles that the town has to writing out a check correctly, but also I got to play behind a counter serving little treat that my class mates paid for with the fake cash. I wish more people knew this place was doing such an amazing job preparing the next generation to a world they can thrive.

Kids loved it. Great field trip. I think the prep work and interviews they do prior to going were also good for them.
