If you are joining mainly to utilize the pool you'd be better off saving your money. Every time we go they make us get out of the pool so they can use only half of the pool for classes.

As someone who used to work there, let's get into the details. A whistleblower. We all have those. Kathy Pollock and Jody Moore have been the worst. Kathy has gone higher than the CEO to complain because things at the Y haven't changed, always stating how Sarah Lisenby is doing her job wrong, all the extra financial assistance that's been given, all the write-offs, losing money, etc. Sarah, you're the reason why they have gotten strict on the credit card policy. Kevin, that's why the board was on you, sir. Meanwhile, you have Jody writing an anonymous letter to the board about all the problems at the YMCA and how nothing has changed. Oh, and Jody is good at running deep background checks on people without them knowing. Kathy is aware of her behavior, even putting the charges on the Y card, but covers it up, especially for people of color. Sorry, Q. You were a victim. That's why you didn't get the job when you applied. Staff being high on the job and yet still there working, but according to CEO Kevin, it's ok to have some weed in your system as long as it's not too much; even child care workers, poor staff who are all underpaid and expect them to volunteer and not get paid during events. You get what you pay for; you wonder why no one goes above and beyond while the directors are still making 2-4 grand every paycheck. Well, some, sorry, Sarah. Misty ma'am, if you're not getting trained, please do run when things hit the fan; you're to blame, not the CEO, for improper training. The smartest choice I ever made was walking out of this micromanaged, toxic, hostile environment. I couldn't be any happier. for it to be a Christian nonprofit organization. You should be embarrassed about how it ran. Then you ask yourself why doesn't anyone want to donate to the Y, because the YMCA is burned out with multiple people. Just ask Jody; she did her research on Kevin when he worked at the previous YMCA. And wonder why he is not being liked. Thanks for sharing. Jody Oh, one more thing: parents, don't be putting your kids in child care. The money doesn't go back to your babies; they use it for other stuff but not them. Sorry, not sorry.

Different standards for different people. Its almost like depending on the mood of the employee the "rules" either apply or anything goes.

Not cool.

You get yelled at ... No wonder people cross this YMCA gym location as the "ghetto" YMCA.

Awesome place. Glad to be a member. Plenty to do. They got your standard gym area, or “wellness center” with plenty of weights and machines. There’s a gymnasium, a walking track above it. Some pickleball courts, a pool, hot tub and steam room. They have different classes for this and that. Never tried them but they have a schedule you can get. Staff are all great! Members too. $50 a month for adult or $65 for your household, Up to 4. YMCA is the best. Wish they sold t shirts!

Parents please be sure when you sign up your child for a sport coach (yainn) is not your child’s coach. This is my child 2nd game the coach didn’t show up, this is very sad and unprofessional then saw her in her office sitting there. Today 5-30 was their last game didn’t even have the decency to congratulate them, I noticed during games she’ll get frustrated with 3-4 KIDS !!! because they would move around, mess up … like A NORMAL KID we know this is what kids do . and I’m guessing that’s why she didn’t take the time to show up for the babies. I understand not everyone has patience but why be the coach in the first place to not show up for these kids. All the kids on the team don’t show up either but that’s understandable but the coaches ? I’m beyond pissed waisted my money. I love the ymca I hope this is not how the y represent themselves with a person like this as a staff. And I appreciate the coaches Mrs.G and the other young lady for helping them and making sure no kid was counted out.

great atmosphere in the pool area. there’s one guard who they call “Grant” that’s very down to earth with a very soothing and angelic voice. he opens for us every morning right on time and we cannot be more satisfied with him as our guard.
