Volunteers Margo and Jeff were the nicest people. So friendly & knowledgeable about cats. You could tell they really care about the mission of the Humane Society & about the animals.

Keri was a pleasure to work with on the paperwork side of things. She answered all of the questions I asked (a lot), told me about her experience with her pets, and really made me less nervous about taking home 2 cats.

Overall seems like a great place to be if you’re an animal in search of a home. Highly recommend 🤠

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly in the process of me adopting my puppy. Watching the staff interact with the animals was heart warming and comforting in this process. 10/10 experience, thank you to anyone that helped us and Sage (previously Sequoia) is so happy!

Woods is doing amazing work for our community! They were so helpful when we adopted our little dog.Yes, they have some rules about adoption and bringing your other dogs, kids to meet the new animals but it's for the ANIMAL'S best interest too! When we were there, it seems like they tried their hardest to find the best fit for each dog. When they are overloaded by dogs, I imagine they can't get to know each one's little habits perfectly. I hope more people go and support local rescue places like Woods!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facility Is clean and very organized. My reason for the 3 star rating is because I was only given 10 minutes with the dog because another family was waiting. This is a first come arrangement but putting time pressure on a 10-15 year decision is not appropriate. People should be given the time needed to make an important decision without any time pressure. BTW, I took the dog as the family was standing outside the fenced play area watching us bond. Awkward.

They accept and need dog beds, blankets, sheets among other animal related items. Mom just passed away and it was a great place to "unload" 4 large black garbage bags full of perfectly good blankets, sheets and even a lime new travel dog bed.

Hi yes they are awsome. Helped us with the adoption. Talked about our cat and told us how to help him be comfortable. They are very friendly and really made us feel at home with our new pet.

Friendly staff! Wonderful diverse pet selection. Warmth and love fills the walls of this place. I met a wonderful distinguished American Bully named Kukor and a talented young employee Max. Together, both of them changed my perspective on "Shelter Dogs". I've donated the pictures I took with Kukor and I would love to donate a few more I've taken around SLO. Feel free to reach out. Anything to help the cause. #EveryDogLifeMatter
