Over the past few years, I've had the honor of collaborating with Steven and his incredible team for several corporate volunteer events, and each experience has been nothing short of inspiring.

Their fundraisers are not only well-organized but carry an emotional depth that resonates with all attendees. Each event I've attended has left a profound impact on me and my team, showcasing the organization's commitment to fulfilling dreams that might seem simple to some but are monumental to the recipients.

The joy and surprise in the eyes of the wish recipients are testament to the significance of these gestures. Receiving such a gift at this stage in life is not just special; it's transformative. The careful attention to detail and the personal touch they add to each wish reveal the heart behind this organization.

Just wanted to take a minute to show appreciation and say thank you to Steven and the entire team at Wish of a Lifetime for their mission. Here's to making more dreams come true!

I'm so impressed with Wish of a Lifetime and the diligent, wonderful work they do to make wishes come true. I had the opportunity to volunteer at one of their events in which wishes were granted to a group of older adults that had always wanted to attend a Blackhawks game in Chicago. The folks at Wish did a fabulous job of providing a top notch experience that went above and beyond just attending the game in one of the suites. It included jerseys, photo-ops, meet & greets with the mascot and previous players, along with a full dinner and desserts. Well done, Wish! It was a joy to be included in such a great event that brought so much happiness to this group of recipients.

I am still in awe of our amazing experience with Wish of a Lifetime. It was the true essence of their namesake - Wish of a Lifetime. Our family will be talking about this most sacred experience for the rest of our lives. Our facilitator Connor Downs was so attentive and so responsive to our entire family during the planning and fulfillment process. Wish of a Lifetime granted me the most impressive wish. First of all, WOAL paved the way for my family including my wife, Kathie, my daughter, Emily and my granddaughter, Olivia, to join me and experience the entire adventure. The wish turned out to be an awe inspiring, reverent, immensely connecting and intensely spiritual gift. Our first adventure was meeting with Vince Gill and his wife, Amy Grant in which we shared stories, played music and relished in their warm and gracious hospitality. We spent the entire next day with sound engineer, Wolf Robinson at the famous Ocean Way Studio in Nashville. This part of the experience was so comfortable, thanks to Wolf and his team. Wolf was particularly patient and brought his skills including his artistic and qualified ears to the task of recording 3 of my songs. He engaged my whole family and gently guided my granddaughter when she added a clarinet track to one of my songs.....Thanks to Connor Downer and all the Woal staff for making my wish come true......Lifelong Kudos!!!!

This incredible organization completely changed my perspective on life, and especially aging and our community of senior citizens. They not only change lives for wish recipients, the services they provide and community they foster has been proven to increase health and happiness for our elder generation. They host incredible volunteer opportunities which I've taken part in over the years. A truly inspiring team of individuals working hard behind the scene to pull off their mission. Love this group!

My daughter and I are still in the afterglow of our wonderful experience with AARP's Wish of a Lifetime, an organization that grants wishes to senior citizens. My wish to attend North Carolina Writers’ Network’s Squires 2024 summer writing workshop at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, was granted. I could take a guest with me. My daughter Darlis, also an aspiring writer, was my guest. Everything was paid for, our registration, food, housing and transportation. At the three-day poetry and creative nonfiction workshops, our writing samples were critiqued by accomplished instructors and other participants. We received valuable feedback, writing tips, and learned of writing opportunities we could explore. We also experienced warm fellowship with other writers. I passed on the writing tips to appreciative members of a senior citizen writer’s group I belong to.

My gift from WOL, as the saying goes, is "a gift that keeps on giving." Recently, WOL staff member Christina Jay sent me a photo book with colorful pictures of my daughter and me at the workshop. The pictures were taken by a photographer that WOL hired. The photo book is displayed on a shelf in my living room where I can look at it and remember how blessed we were. I thank AARP for this enriching experience, and I thank thoughtful, hardworking and on-the-ball WOL staff member Christina Jay for the royal treatment we received.
