As a proud employee of Wind Crest Retirement Community for over 10 years in the Sales and Marketing office, as well as an adult daughter whose parents call this community home, I can genuinely say that Wind Crest exceeds expectations in every way.

From an employee's perspective, Wind Crest offers an incredible work environment that fosters growth, collaboration, and a true sense of belonging. The ONE TEAM approach is more than just a phrase—it's a way of life here. We all work together with a collective spirit to create the best possible experiences for residents and their families. It's a place where your ideas are valued, your efforts are recognized, and your passion for service is celebrated every day.

On the personal side, seeing my own parents thrive in this community brings me so much peace and joy. The safe, welcoming environment at Wind Crest is second to none, and the attention to detail in caring for each resident is truly remarkable. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels at home, engaged, and supported in every aspect of their lives. My parents have not only found a beautiful place to live, but they've also gained a true sense of community and purpose.

Wind Crest's dedication to providing a vibrant, secure, and caring environment for both residents and staff is unmatched. I am beyond grateful to be a part of this exceptional community both professionally and personally. If you're looking for a retirement community where the people truly care and the energy is positive and uplifting, I highly recommend Wind Crest. It's not just a place to live or work—it's a place to belong.

A warning to anyone researching senior living (and Windcrest) with a loved one with middle/late stage and advancing dementia. My parents just moved here and from the time they were told an apartment was available to the time they moved in, my father’s dementia progression advanced rather quickly. Windcrest advertises “memory care” which is why they chose to move here. However this is not for middle to late stage dementia - their memory care is essentially assisted living, for cases of earlier stages of dementia, for people who can do most ADLs on their own. My father did not qualify for memory care and now is in their skilled nursing, which is extremely expensive and STILL not getting the care he needs (24/7 which in addition is out of pocket for us). This is not the place for your progressing dementia parent/loved one. Please research facilities for middle/late stage dementia and care levels thoroughly, EVEN if your loved one is early in the stages - they will eventually be severe and need more assistance than most places can provide legally in Colorado. Please do deeper research into memory care facilities in Colorado, especially Windcrest. The sales people are NOT upfront about this.

One positive is that the in home health care company at Windcrest is very supportive and compassionate and their caregivers have been wonderful and professional. (However at times their availability is limited. They will try to find an outside company if needed.)

Loved the hearing loop this afternoon at the production of “A Walk in the Woods.” Excelling script, phenomenal acting, and I could understand every word with great microphones, the hearing loop, and using my telecoils.

My review might seem a little biased because 40 years ago I founded Erickson Senior Living, the company that built and currently manages Wind Crest. We used to always say that in this industry the best test of quality is whether you’d someday move in to one of your communities. Well, Nancy and I moved from our home in Annapolis and became residents of Wind Crest in January 2022 and have enjoyed every minute since. One of the things we’re enjoying the most is meeting and getting to know other residents. We love that there are 8 restaurants to choose from all with unique menus. I enjoy walking over to the new 25 meter pool for lap swimming many mornings. Nancy is excited about the four pickle-ball courts that are being built this spring. I never would have envisioned outdoor rock concerts at one of our communities back in the early years, but our summer concert series has been a big hit. We both enjoy the huge variety of education classes and guest speakers that we can attend when we’re not too busy with other activities. We also still travel a lot, and like that we can lock the front door and not worry about a water leak or some other maintenance issue like we did when we owned a house. I told people for years that they shouldn’t wait too long to make a move like this and now I can say firsthand that I was giving good advice. Check it out, and you will see what I mean.

My wife and I did considerable research and visited several continuing care communities. Based on our acquaintance with other people who had moved to Wind crest, we spent a good bit of time visiting the community, eating in the restaurants and touring from one end to the other. Based on that experience we elected to move to Wind crest and we are delighted by the community, the neighbors in our building have welcomed us and made us feel very warmly received in the community. We found many good activities to be engaged in, and we love the opportunity to have our meals when we want them in one of 9 different restaurants. We highly recommend Wind Crest and believe it is probably one of the best in the nation.
