As a Widower, I found that I was not going crazy after my wife passed. This week I attended a Karaoke and Komedy. I also attend the Grief Recovery Workshops. Sunday Support is also on my short list for weekly renewal.

They tend to be cliquey, hard to fit in when most of them all know each other. Also all their meetings. Get togethers are all out in the north area, Carmichael, Sunrise etc. With gas now over $4 a gallon folks from Elk Grove, South area and surrounding areas would struggle with gas costs constantly running way across town for all their events. Why not have some meetups in different areas of town occasionally to accommodate others ? But the people who run it all live out there, so it's not convenient for THEM. Not fair or considerate.

They provide complete and very loving care for the family and friends of suicide victims! They are very good at this because they, themselves, have experienced the loss of family members due to suicide!
