A cute little thrift store with the sweetest staff! I definitely enjoyed going when I was visiting. The prices are unbeatable and always a great selection goods! One of my go-to spots!

The White Elephant Shop is a wonderful little thrift store which is primarily staffed by volunteers. The store was remodeled, and still has a wide variety of items at reasonable prices. Loyal customers line up at the door before openings to have a chance at the front window items which often feature boutique brands and new merchandise.

They also have an Alaska themed clothing section and feature Alaska books and other goods.

I was pleased to see that this store donates to a variety of organizations. The variety is somewhat limited but I enjoyed shopping there with my friend who bought a lot of stuff. I am giving it 4 stars because the lady working the front was rude and condescending about masks. I simply forgot to put on my mask but I was treated like a child and an idiot and if not for my friend, I would have left and given a very poor review.

Some incredible stuff gets donated here. Kudos to the community for just giving away valuable items. This is the only place in town that still has you wear a mask and it IS enforced. Come prepared or they will loan you a mask.

The White Elephant Shop is operated by volunteers, and profits are distributed to Sitka non-profit organizations. The shop has a rapidly changing and eclectic mix of items. There is an Alaska section with books and items that appeal to locals and tourists alike. On the left side of building and through a separate entrance is the kids side which carries children's clothing, books and a small range of toys.
