I used to visit often but hadn’t been in a while. I stopped going because I noticed a lot of deceptive pricing practices. It’s clear they know their audience—mostly suburban women in the area—which is surprising because I thought the premise of this place was to be affordable for everyone.

Recently, I went back (after 2 years)and experienced something disappointing. My daughter was charged one price for an item, while I was charged a different price for the exact same item. I also noticed that some of the products they carry are priced higher—or the same—as what they cost at the original stores they came from. In some cases, they even leave the original price tags on, making it easy to see that their prices are marked up.

I won’t be returning. It’s disheartening that this organization is connected to a church or religious group while engaging in such deceptive practices. It’s very disappointing.

Monday 10/21/2024 My neice offered to shop American Eagle I was interested in the fact that they refurbish furniture and I saw a woodsy style table I really liked. The volunteers are friendly and helpful they know the floor and point you in the right direction quickly. Cashiers were friendly and hospitable in offering a box of donuts. I was so engulfed I set my phone down in an isle. I had to call them to find it; in just 1 minute of me relaying where I had placed it. I must acknowledge that cause it's so easy to set your personal item down and forget. So "KUDO's" to all the staff and volunteers!

We used to go here at least once a month to purchase a food box. In the past 6 months we have only gone a few times because most items have gone bad within a day or two. Bread already moldy multiple times. Green beans super sour. Lettuce had a TON of bugs in it. Maggots in pie crust. Those things are just to name a few. Seems as if things have gone down hill. I know that items are donated but even if donated people still shouldn't be subject to rotten food.

I was told this was the best little secret in town. And let me tell you THEY AINT LYING!!!!! Let me start by a little back story. My husband and I recently came to Temecula from N. County SD. His job changed and so did mine. He was diagnosed with cancer for the second time late summer 2023. So he was out of work for a minute. I was the bread winner. So I went on a deap dive on how to find help with some bills and things. Disability was and is a definite nightmare so while we dealt with that issue funds were running low low low. . . I found this organization just scrolling threw stuff. I didn't get a chance to check this place out until today. Rainy and cold my husband and I (who is cancer free now btw). We decided let's go look. If you want to stock up your pantry come here! If you want deals on EVERYTHING go see these guys. You do have to bring your own bags for shopping to make the experience a little easier. But that should be a normal thing now a days. They have a 20$ box. The box varies day to day but it's really a big amount of food. Also fresh veggies. And pantry staples you can actually use. (I didn't get a chance to take pics this time but I will next time). Don't think you are walking into Costco or stater Bros. It's not that fancy. But it is quaint and nice. And the people that work there are FANTASTIC! They were so wonderful to me and my husband. I will be back. And you should too. Everyone should be checking this place out. I recommend it 1000%.

If you haven't visited this place you should. Tons of low cost high end furniture and home decor that is brand new. Make up and personal needs, cleaning supplies and pet needs. I'm not to crazy about the food as you really have to check for expiration dates. I didn't know it was legal to sell expired food so I made the mistake a few times and had to through it away. They do have a large amount of food just check the dates if you have the time. It's worth it
