I have toured both Hacienda at the River and Hacienda at the Canyon. Both have different attributes to consider. The River has the equine therapy and Canyon has a beautiful chapel and panoramic views. Still trying to decide which might be the better of the two. Both are stunning from the entrance to the garden. I included photos of the chapel.

The few Watermark communities I visited (Tucson, AZ) are gorgeous. The staff was so kind to me at each of them and seemed to genuinely want to accommodate. Even the salesperson listened to me and really understood what I am looking for. I felt heard and seen, which is rare! The food in the cafe at the La Cholla location is quite good. The woman behind the counter even chatted with me for a bit. And she had no idea who I was! You can really tell the heart of a company when the people at every level genuinely want to help.

Excellent Senior Living company. Having extensively researched and visited several retirement communities, both as a potential customer and as a real estate investor/owner/operator, the quality, care, and thoughtfulness of Watermark shines bright. Every community I've visited is beautifully designed, thoughtfully appointed from a people-first perspective, and resident focused in terms of customer service. Watermark is also innovative in how they deliver programs and use technology. A very special senior living company, providing the best for its residents.

My mom lived at La Cholla for 6 years. It was the happiest years of her life. She made great friends who played cards together every weekend. She had the luxury of time and studio space to create art and paint. Watermark even featured her artwork in their annual resident art calendars. We were welcome to join her in the dinning room to share a meal any time we wanted. She took pride in creating a patio garden with an abundance of flowering cactus. My mom was so proud to call her casita at Watermark her home.
