Donated blood today. The staff here was efficient and friendly. I was well taken care of and I was out within 30 minutes. I expect it to be shorter having now established my records. My only ding would be that the snacks weren't items I would eat. I would appreciate healthier choices and because it was early ... c o f f e e. Life is in the blood - think about donating.

I Have donated here for years. I Would like to keep donating but unfortunately the poor corporate leadership has created an unsafe environment. The folks on the ground are worn down and over stressed, and have less than ideal equipment. The last time I donated here they drew my blood under the wrong patient even though they asked for my name and date of birth four different times. By thinking I was this other patient with a completely different last name, date of birth and blood type, they drew 2 units of plasma 10 days apart. Their standards and procedures states that plasma unit are only supposed to be taken every 28 days or longer. This whole situation was brought to the attention of Vitalant corporate multiple times and someone was supposed to contact me. After a few months, I haven’t heard a word. I donated at least 5 gallons of blood products (mostly platelets) in my lifetime. The saddest part about this is that cancer patients no longer get my support and that Vitalant still calls me 1 to 2 times a week to donate due to a product shortage. This makes me believe that they don’t really care about me or the cancer patients, they just want their product. I felt extremely crappy after this mishap. I shouldn’t have to risk my own health to help others. I really wish the Vitalant corporate executives would wake the hell up. The work they do is extremely valuable and needs REAL leadership and consideration. I do truly wish for positive change so people in need can get the help they need.

Awesome Donation Center! The staff are always helpful and kind whenever I go. I started donating platelets back in August and have been going just about every week since! Platelet donations are 1.5-2 hrs long, and Jessica, Meghan, and Melissa are always fun to talk to and answer all my questions (whether silly or serious). Overall, it is a great environment of people who work well together, keep the place clean, and stay attentive to all donors! I always look forward to coming in and spending time with them during my donations!

I haven't had too much interaction with the staff at the beginning of the week, but one time I walked in a few days after my donation thinking I was having a bad reaction to an infiltration and the on-site supervisor, one phlebotomist, and a trainee jumped to help me even though they weren't part of the original blood draw! They were able to explain the situation and let me know there was nothing to worry about!

I have donated platelets and blood nearly 100 times now and this is my go to location for getting drawn. The staff is courteous, skilled, and always willing to do whatever they can to make the experience easier for you. I donate platelets about every three weeks and I always look forward to visiting this location. I will say, someone’s experience can vary depending on the day you go due to different people being on different shifts, but you can always ask for certain individuals to work on you. There’s always good snacks and drinks to enjoy after donating, and I’m so glad this place is locationally convenient!

I’ve been going to this location 4 to 5 times a year for over 8 years. I’ve gotten to know many of the staff members over that time and have seen many members come and go. Melissa has always been the one constant at this location. She’s always welcoming, professional, and passionate to myself and other donators I’ve seen her interact with. I now purposely go to donate on Fridays knowing Melissa will be there and it’s because of Melissa that I have managed to get multiple co-workers I work with go with me to also donate. If you are on the fence about donating due to anxiety or for any other reason, ask for Melissa. She will make your visit and experience great! Please pass this on to her. I know first hand many times people don’t get recognized for the great professional work that they do. Thanks!

I donated blood once in 2019. Since then, I have received numerous automated phone calls and voicemails reminding me to donate blood, despite never having signed up for these calls and having moved away from the area. As I never opted in, and the calls are robotic, I cannot remove my name from a list or ask the caller to stop. I've blocked the number but still receive voicemails, sometimes three or four in a week. I just want them to stop robo-calling me. Do not provide Vitalant with your true phone number.

After it taking 3 weeks to set this appointment to do a power red blood donation, I drive 4.5 hours only to arrive at the door and get turned away because my 7 year old son was with me. The emailed guidelines said anyone who came with would just have to be screened. After asking if he could just sit in the corner, masked up, where there was clearly no one nearby, the staff members response “He could wait for you in the lobby.” He’s 7 and we were on the 3rd floor. The lobby she spoke about was on the opposite end of the building, 3 floors down. My hotel was 30 minutes away and there was absolutely no help from the staff at all. Absolutely zero. Professionalism was nonexistent.
