Several years ago I spent a couple of nights in Bethel while doing some construction work nearby. The people at the VFW were extremely warm and welcoming to my crew and I! They helped make our short time in Bethel memorable. If you have the fortune of experiencing their hospitality, be sure to donate ($) so that they can continue to comfort others in the future.
