Dan is an incredible trainer and we are so grateful to him. He started working with our puppy Porky when she was very young, and he trained not only her but us as well. Dan clearly loves dogs and understands how to teach them in a way that is assertive but compassionate. We had complete trust in him immediately, and the proof is in our now eight year-old dog who is friendly, calm, well behaved and, as far as we are concerned, perfect in every way. Cannot recommend Dan Goldstein enough!

My standard poodle, Maisie, and I met Dan when she was a strong, stubborn teenager, who loved to pull very hard on her leash. In just a few 1:1 sessions, Dan trained Maisie (and me) how to walk side by side at an unhurried pace. He also gave me lots of great advice on how to establish better boundaries with her overall. Since then, Maisie’s enjoyed spending time at Dan’s house romping with the other dogs. Being at Dan’s is one of her happy places.

Dan has a calm, gentle personality, and dogs seem to trust him instinctively. He knows what he’s doing and gets great results. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

I can’t say enough great things about Dan. From the moment we met him, I knew our dog was in the best hands. The facility is clean, safe and organized with plenty of space for the dogs to play and relax. He takes time to learn about the dogs personality and needs, ensuring a fun and stress-free experience. I love that he provides daily updates and videos of our dog while she’s with him so I always know how my dog’s day went. My dog comes home happy, well exercised and better behaved after each visit.

Dan, with Vail Dog Training, has and continues to be one of the key ingredients to my having such a well-behaved dog. Since Whisper, a spirited Boykin Spaniel, was just a puppy through today, she is now 5.5 years, Dan has been our trainer. Whisper catches on quickly. Dan had taught me how to be consistent and clear with my command and treatment of Whisper. He holds group training sessions and supervises dog group play days. Both have been great for socializing Whisper to other dogs, and her learning to obey and focus on me when distracted. Without hesitation, I recommend Dan to help you and your pup!

I found Dan via google review last year, sadly his account had a glitch and he lost so many great reviews. Our little Rosie absolutely adores and respects Dan!!! If I had not read all of the previous google reviews I would not have reached out to Dan.

Rosie(cavapoo) was about 6 months old when she had her first one on one with Dan aka WE HAD OUR FIRST ONE ON ONE. He was amazing, kind, straight forward, and had a plan. Dan worked with Rosie on her anxiousness and taught us general and easy training techniques to incorporate into our everyday. Basically he helped us guide Rosie with manners on greeting people, calming down, no barking, and mostly helped her learn to walk on a leash which was huge because she pulled A LOT! Now Rosie goes to see Dan for his Puppy Palooza, she has boarded with him for several days, and we have done group classes. Honestly we love the flexibility and consistency Dan offers us and Rosie. I trust him completely to treat Rosie as his own and she always comes home happy and exhausted from all the fun they have. Looking forward to many years of Vail Dog Training! If you are looking for a talented, loving, and disciplined trainer, you found him. Also when you drop your doggie off to him, at any time there are 10-20 other dogs staring at you in complete silence. That never happens at other daycares. They stay chill and happy, you can really tell none of the dogs are anxious or scared. Happy puppies all day long!

When I reached out to Dan for help with training our one year-old Portuguese water dog puppy Stella, it was the best thing I could’ve done for our family.

Stella was in her teenage months, and she was so strong and starting to be overprotective of me. We did quite a bit of training with Dan and now she is a completely different dog. I can take her for walks, she walks at a perfect heel and is a joy to be around. Stella loves to go to Dan‘s house and play for puppy play days, she has learned how to be social with other dogs.

I highly recommend Dan and his training techniques.

Dan has been great! He came to our house for our first training session so we could have one on one training where our puppy was comfortable. Since then our pups has attended doggy day care at his amazing and well set up property. I would highly recommend Dan!
