If you are in a rut down and out and need some shelter come and visit UGM of Fort Worth stay a couple months. The group of individuals who work here and make this place run the correct way I believe do it for you who are homeless not just for a check or grins and giggles. You will be safe no worries security is on the premises at all times. You will have a hot quality meal 3 times a day. If you need to bathe you are required a shower no worries the water is free.

TOO Thomas for being the most understanding Individual I've Encountered If your honest with him his straight up and fair tell him everything from D.O.C to Income He'll find ways to help Thanks Union Gospel Mission of course we know it's cold outside 😉 I feel bad because I had to leave my best friend outside tho they don't have a pet policy. I go to this area and give out hot plates at least 2x a year. This is my third year doing this. GOD put it on my heart and I obey. I don't have a lot but I do what I can. I make the plates out of my apartment with mostly no help and it made it love and compassion. I started with 15 plates now I was able to do 83 this year. I'm grateful and blessed.

UGM -TC IS clean and well managed. Check in is 4:30 (3:30 in summer) for overnight visitors. Cost is $6/night but 3 nights and 90+/40- degree weather nights are free.
Dinner, breakfast, & a bed is provided on a first come first serve basis. So arrive around 4 (3) to be assured a bed.
UGM has a resident program that allows you to live there. Intake for resident applications is M-F at 7a.m. and may take several returns before you are accepted. Residents are assigned an (easy)job to work 15-20 hours each week. For example site cleanup, kitchen chores, warehouse, security & landscaping. That gets you a permanent bed,weekly laundry (done for you),locker,3 meals, clothing & much more. Alternatively, residents with outside jobs can simply pay $180/month for rent. Attending a 20 minute Chapel service is required before each dinner. Staff is respectful & helpful. This program was exactly what I needed to get back on my feet after health problems.

This place refuses to allow the homeless to sit up under the covering to get out of the sun. But want to act like they are doing God's work. A place that says they are a mission doesn't turn people away like that.

This place is like a cult you can't be on your own phone you pay for they make you go hear a sermon every single meal unless you a resident they treat the over night people like crap and the residents get everything from extra food to speacial activities to washing their clothes to where as the over nighters can't wash clothes and have to wear scrubs the residents get to wear their own clothes the security is rude especially the tall light-skinned one with curly hair he will kick you out for just being on your own phone they really only let people they like become residents like the old guys they talk to everyday everyone else is a over fighter 17 to 24 gets to be a resident without a back ground check everyone else has to have a back ground check last time I checked 17 to 24 people still have records the bathroom got black mold in the showers they treat you like you are a tarrant county inmate you can't even use your phone while your eating only half decent thing about that place is the food everything else to me isn't worth it I tried to become a resident apparently they did a background check on everyone else and turn around and told me I have to get my own background and send it to them which is unfair if you gone do theirs you can do mine they supposedly don't let people in woth assaults or records of assault but don't even follow that rule themselves if you a volunteer which is the only people writing reviews that I seen so far yall just seeing one side of this place become homeless and see for yourself it's a cult
