Tru community care was very pleasant, understanding, compassionate, and the support was outstanding! Nurses that came to my home for my mom, social workers, the pastor, the team themselves and 24 hrs support line.
Would recommend TRU community to anyone. Now days it is hard to find a good, honest co.in the health world! Thank you!

My experience with Tru Community Care was a nightmare! My dad passed away, unexpected. I say this because the day before he passed away, we had a " family meeting" with Laura the chaplain, and Veronica, the Social worker. They both convinced me and my family that my dad wasn't near death yet, and we all can proceed with our plans and move forward, go out town for your business bla bla bla. He passed away the next morning. When his nurse Michaela came to the house to check his vitals, she only stayed at the house for only 25 minutes. She was always in a rush to leave! I'm not a nurse, but I do know how to take blood pressure. My dads blood pressure was 129/43!!!! When the dystolic number is under 60, that's a RED ALERT! That should have been an indication that the nurse or doctor ( which he did not see a doctor) should have given myself and my family how MUCH time he has left! We could have been more prepared for the end of his life.
This company is VERY disorganized. They are Low staffed because a respiratory therapist told me. When my dad was discharged from the hospital, I spent 2 weeks with Tru and StatServe to get a oxygen Concentrator that was actually working! I had to order 2 Concentrators, and one was defective and we had to wait for another one to be delivered. I had to deal with StatServ, and the people at Tru who answered the phones had zero Empathy of what I was going through. I was doing All the work trying to get my dads oxygen concentrators to get delivered. And the pharmacy was a joke too. They delivered my dads medication between 9 and 10 pm!!
They offered me grief counseling, but I have to be on a " waiting list" for 2 -3 months! I thought that hospice gives you some emotional support If I have to wait 2, 3 months to get a phone call, then obviously they don't have enough people, or social workers to help families deal with their grief. That's pretty bad.
If your loved one has Kaiser Permanente, call member services to see who else other than Tru Community Care they are contracted with. There are other good Hospice Companies that Kaiser are contracted with. Be your own Advocate and find out before you put your loved one in Hospice and to prevent yourself and your loved one to go through such a horrible experience with Tru Community Care.

So, I replied to your response, Mark! I left you 2 VOICE MAILS!! And I haven't heard back from you.
I will definitely NOT refer anyone to your business!
Very unprofessional and disrespectful!

The stars are for the intake news, Karen, who was amazing. The rest of the experience was a mixed bag. Obviously this was a stressful time since we needed at home hospice care, but from the start we let them know we needed to drive to Illinois before the end so my partner could be with his family during the last days. They assured us the transfer would be easy and they would give us medication and oxygen needed to get there. That was the biggest reason we signed on with them instead of shopping around. When the time came, though, we were told we could just have to buy our own oxygen/concentrators and basically just left in the dust. We made it back for those last, sad days, then I returned home to find out the equipment we weren't allowed to bring hadn't even been picked up yet. Also, every time I tried to call during regular business hours I was told a nurse would have to call me back. They rarely did and if they did, it was hours later. I never heard anything back from using the app. The night crew seemed quite responsive, though. But TRU added so much stress and work to days I should have been focusing on the love of my life.

Our 14 year old son passed away on Saturday. We are so thankful to have had TRU’s guidance at the end of his life. They worked with us so he would have a peaceful passing. We will be forever grateful to them 💜

Beware if you have Medicaid. TRU lied to us on the first day. I asked their administrator who is paying for this hospice service? She responded "It's free". I asked if it was the hospital? Medicaid? She just lied saying it was free. Then, after the patient died the bill came. Tens of thousands of dollars the estate owed Medicaid for Tru's services. And no discount like Medicaid does with hospitals and doctors. You owe 100% what TRU charged to Medicaid. No wonder they kept pushing us to use more of their services. No wonder they kept bringing supplies even though the patient had plenty of supplies herself and didn't need them. I will never recommend anyone use them.

NEGITIVE 5.. This outfit just sucks.. Palitive care is if and when they wanna show up. Hospice care is about the same.. Hospice section in Longmont United Hospital: They will let your loved one fall mutiple times on a concrete floor after refusing 3x to provide a walker. Then they will whip a Social worker on you and claim false accusations on you to run you off for pointing out the obvious.. Thanks for adding more drama and stess to our family and to my dieing wife! DON'T LET THESE PEOPLE TAKE CHARGE OF A LOVED ONE, YOU'LL REGRET IT !

PS. These are not the same people that helped my Mother 16yrs ago!
