Reverand Mooney preaches the scripture without apology. Though, I live nearly 1,000 miles away, I listen via Sermon Audio. Thank you Reverand for staying true to the Word!

Myron Mooney, pastor of Trinity Free Presbyterian on Old Highway 24, is one of 50 pastors who signed a letter endorsing the candidate. He said he signed the letter, which Moore's wife recently posted on Facebook, before the August primary, but his support continues despite the claims of Moore's accusers.

“I’m proud to have my name on that letter,” Mooney said. “I don’t put any stock in (these accusations) because of the timing.”

Mooney said he believes Moore critics have been working for months to "dig up some dirt or get someone to maybe manufacture some dirt on Judge Moore.”

“The Democrats are involved in this,” Mooney said.

Mooney said even if the claims were true, the women making them should be held accountable for not coming forward sooner. He cited Deuteronomy 22:23-24: “If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor's wife. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.”

Mooney interprets the passage as meaning both the man and woman are at fault.

“She is then as guilty as the person that is said to have done the molestation," Mooney said. "The guilt is shared.”
