This trip with Trek Relief was by far the greatest adventure of my life! I had the opportunity to really absorb the culture of Nepal and experience the beautiful sights of the Himalayas. I also had an amazing time trekking with such a beautiful community of people that were giving, inspiring, passionate, and loving. The staff were friendly, flexible, and overall excellent at handling our groups needs. I loved that this trip wasn't just about trekking but also volunteering our time to help the community and I really appreciated that. This trip overall has been rewarding in many ways to myself and I want to thank Trek Relief and everyone that was along side me on this journey!

Trek relief is such an amazing organization. All of my questions were answered so quickly easing any anxiety I had going in. The group was welcoming and it felt like a little family at the end. I saw so much of the culture and the way people lived. It was heart warming seeing the locals get excited to see familiar faces again. The guides for the trek were amazing. Providing good food and even sharing local dances with us. I loved it so much I continued seeing my trip mates in other countries and now have life long friends. And now I want to go back to Nepal or even check out some of there other trip options. I could keep going on but this is enough for now.

Trek Relief took us through Langtang Valley, Nepal in 2017 for an unforgettable week up the Himalayan mountains to see 1. the beauty of these mountains and the villages that live up there, and 2. the devestation of the 2015 earthquake that caused a massive rock slide at midnight, destroying a whole village. Trek Relief does the brave work of venturing to these remote places that need help from travelers to bring awareness and raise funds, so that the world is a little more safe for travel.

My first trip with Trek Relief was in Peru in April 2024. I fell in love with the country, the people who joined this journey, and Trek Relief’s philosophy: traveling with a purpose.

The experience was so impactful that I was lucky enough to join both projects they organized in Nepal at the end of 2024. If Peru was incredible, Nepal exceeded all my expectations.

Being able to provide aid to the areas most affected by the floods, living alongside people who had lost everything and yet still offered you the little they had left, was something that cannot be put into words.

These experiences, combined with the treks they organized in the Himalayas, were something I will never forget and would undoubtedly do again without hesitation.

I am deeply grateful for all the places and people I have met, for the exchange of cultures and values, and for the opportunity to do something meaningful for those in need.

During Trek Relief Patagonia, we connected with a local school in Cerro Castillo in the Aysén region of Chile. We got to help build out their Greenhouse and they welcomed us to join their medicinal plants and foraging workshop. This was a special experience to get to know the community. They are such a kind people who are very connected with their environment. For the second half of our trip, we trekked through Patagonia National park. Then spent time at a permaculture farm, Alma Verde, which was surrounded by breathtaking sweeping views of Puerto Guadal. Here we learned about the local fauna and flora in the area. So many stunning landscapes combined with amazing community and people made this one of my favorite experiences in my lifetime. I hope to join again in one of their trips in the near future.

Trek Relief was an amazing experience that gave me a different kind of opportunity to see the world. Being able to provide disaster relief and get to hear stories from the locals was a unique perspective and I really hope to continue traveling with purpose again for years to come! I made some new friends and strengthened some existing relationships. I felt very well taken care of and safe. The staff was excellent and made us feel welcome immediately. The trek itself was incredibly beautiful and had a great balance of challenge and leisurely strolling! There is nothing like the Himalayas!!
