To Be Like Me is a safe space to be able to explore the world of disabilities. I love volunteering and working with To Be Like Me. I give them 5 stars because of their advocacy, the effort towards full inclusion, and the breaking down barriers starting with our youth! I love the message and all the people who volunteer with To Be like Me and their stories. Definitely check them out. There is also lessons on the website so you can share them with your kids, friends, family, schools, etc. Thank you TBLM for giving me a voice to be heard and a platform to speak on.

I’ve love volunteering with To Be Like Me. This program is unique which is led by people living with disabilities. It''s a wonderful way to experience through simulation how to interact with people who are living with a disability. It helps foster empathy and compassion. Truly an experience that is life changing for people of all ages!

I am continually inspired by the transformation of the children who attend the To Be Like Me programing! I see it in the childrens' eyes as they learn how they can be more empathetic and how they can apply these new skills to their lives. I see the barriers break down as they listen to the leaders explain that they have happy full lives, but also give practical tips and tricks on how to engage with someone who may be different. I see the magic of lives changing. It’s remarkable! I am so proud to be a part of a movement that is making such a large impact on our community and our future!
