This local independent yoga studio was the perfect yoga embrace. The owner Chelsea is so sincere in her approach to create a supportive environment not only for your Yoga Practice but also as a place for people to connect and create a strong sense of community that extends well beyond the yoga studio. As an out of town visitor I took 3 classes over the weekend — it was welcoming, and truly a “zen” haven in this sweet small town. I can’t wait to visit again!

The Zen Den in Fruita is a sanctuary. There, you can enter into a safe and welcoming community and practice slow yoga, gentle yoga, yin yoga, vinyasa yoga, ashtanga yoga, and more. The instructors greet you lovingly and by name and the practicing yogis offer a friendly greeting as well. There are special activities, like a monthly book club, sound baths, meditations, and more. This is a warm space that cares about the whole community, giving back as often as they are able. It is at The Zen Den that I learned to slow down, to welcome ALL my emotions and to sit with them, to really notice my inner world. I feel like I have found a home at The Zen Den, and always breathe a sigh of gratitude as I unroll my mat there and await the beginning of each class.

I have been practicing Yoga for more than 20 years and have been lucky to practice in many places around the world. Chelsea is the owner of the studio and has by far created the most special yoga studio that I have ever practiced yoga in. Her studio is a safe haven for everyone, you will feel seen, safe and loved while practicing Yoga with the most amazing and thoughtful teachers.
