The Warehouse is where you need to go to get good quality secondhand clothes and small furnishings. And if you can afford bid on their auction every week, please do. It pays the rent!! Great place and people.

This ministry is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It is such a huge thing, to be able to shop till you drop, and walk away happy because you have things you need and didn’t have to spend a dime to get them. I’ve visited them to get clothes when I was homeless and eat a meal. That visit on Tuesdays would at least give me clean clothes through the week when I had no way to wash. I could get a new backpack or a warm blanket, and hygiene products in sample sizes that wouldn’t weigh my pack down. Sometimes I could find a book to read. Their donors give away some wonderful Christian literature. I got three Joyce Meyer books that looked brand new! The devotionals I kept are keepsakes now. I went through some tough times. The Warehouse was always there. This past Friday, they were a part of my life again, but for a good reason. I visited them to put together a house of my own! After expenses involved in starting the process of buying a house and getting utilities situated, etc., I had basically an empty house. The warehouse crossed my mind, so I went. It was so good to get to pick out items and put them in my little old car. When I was homeless, I had no way to carry stuff or store stuff. I saw all kinds of cute things and imagined having my own house to furnish and decorate one day, snd my own vehicle to transport things from the Warehouse to my own house. By God’s grace and lot of hard work, I got to do that finally. God kept me grateful, though. There was a TV. I wanted really bad. My grandkids could watch cartoons on it. They would love it. Of course, I couldn’t find anyone with a truck and some manpower who would help me. “One day”, I thought. “One day, I’ll have a truck snd trailer, too” I caught myself thinking. “Ha. Maybe you will.”, I replied. Then I smiled and went home to unpack the things God gave me as my housewarming gift. Thanks to all who help make this nonprofit the blessing it is. Places like this make Texarkana far ahead of other cities. God bless.

Cathy used to save the candles that were donated and she would give me some for heat when I lived in the woods. Thank you Cathy
