The Village at Tannin is a really nice community. The homes are individually unique. We stayed at an airbnb called Birdies Nest on Meeting St and checked in early. At first sight home is very cozy, nice decor, roomy and good location about 8 minutes from beach and restaurants. Once we unpacked and looked closer Birdies Nest was in need of a little maintenance, the fans in both baths didn't work, all beds were a bit uncomfortable and squeaky, we slept on couch a few nights, AC didn't come on after a certain time no matter what you adjusted AC to. The front porch and side deck trim and railing needed repairs. We thought to call but since we never heard from host after checking in to see if things were OK we figured it didn't matter. On a scale from 1-10 we score at a 6.5. We would stay in Tannin but most likely not at Birdies Nest.
