It's gotten not so good now since we no longer don't get home cooked meals anymore like we did when Tammy worked there, she was the best! Now it's going to the craps! They don't give help unless your under their favorite wing. They don't help the homeless like they first did when i came into this town back in the early 2000s.

We don't know what we don't know! The Salvation Army does so much for people. Things I had no clue about, such as, providing free meals, they have a food pantry, a clothing pantry, showers and so much more. This is aside from the thrift store. They help so many people! The workers there are AMAZING PEOPLE. People helping people, isn't that what life is about?! I mean it's not about what we have but what we give. You don't see a UHAUL behind a hurst!?! I googled what it was that most people say on their death bed & 2 really stood out..."I wish I was a kinder person" & "I hope those I love know how much I love them" and similar things regarding such. I feel this tells us a lot about life. I mean we should look to our elders for advice, at least, the wise ones do as we know they've lived longer, therefore,may have experienced something we need help with. Though I'm a believer that just bc you are older doesn't make you wiser or mean someone younger hasn't experienced more in life than someone older. Regardless, when we stop listening, stop caring and stop helping others then we stop learning. Life is merely a learning lesson. We learn from our mistakes yet the wiser ones learn from the mistakes of others. Some of us learn from our own mistakes while others do not. So don't give up, keep making those mistakes and learn as much as you can. Life clearly cannot be about how much we can gain material wise but how much we gain spiritually. Nothing satisfies the soul or brings more joy than helping another. At least, if you live a life giving rather than taking, you won't regret it when you die! People matter not things!! No disrespect to anyone's beliefs when I say this...God Bless this place and staff as they truly help so many people. Thank you.

I am from out of town and confused the Salvation Army food bank with the thrift store. I had been looking to purchase a book and the case worker Blanca realized I was in the wrong spot but was so nice and directed me to a few free books that they have in their window. I didn’t have any cash on me to donate and I felt quite guilty but she assured me it was perfectly fine to take the two I selected. Altogether a very warm experience and it was so nice of Blanca to be so kind when she could have just told me I was at the wrong store.

Won’t be back, last month I went in for the food bank, I was told to wait, 2 people came in a few minutes after me and went to shopping while I wait, I left, this month I came in only to be told I gotta wait again because I already “had a visit last month” I COULDN'T EVEN SHOP LAST MONTH!!!! Won’t ever be coming back, horrible

I wished them a happy Pride Month and asked them what their pronouns were. They seriously called the police to arrest me for the "crime" of existing! Our LEOs have better things to do with their time than deal with these loserz who don't even know that the Bible isn't a drum, lol. Will update after I find dumpster w/ food or sympathetic individual with house that needs cleaning so I can calm down, lol. ️‍️‍⚧️

n it kep gittn fatter n slower ... eating off a plastic lid ... so I made fresh bread n tried to add in but at least it be gourmet as it plumped up for bad digestion but FEAR not

that pigeon acted like i was cutting in front of him in Prescott at St. Vincents or Salvation Army
they all look and sound alike ...

( they treat the Disabled Elderly as hobo sinners )

where the manager took away ALL the coffee for a week because her homeless BF was a drinker and she saw him in the face of those blokes

she would talk n smoke with em as they waited in line in the heat all destitute ( she looked like she was well fed )

then the managers husband would bring out a weird bible and pray for us Elderly Sinners to Pay Up in shame for not being lucky enough

to get paid to preach to God's Chosen

( AFTER we sanitized Your Tables w brown dirty rags in gray Water ... you designated a Dirty rag and dirty water tnx but we the Clients sanitized every 5 minutes )

Clients are not your Servants you Guys ...

as if we were beggars ... as We pay taxes and pay THEIR Car Payment ... in Donations n whatever they get for FREE . to dump old green beans on Veterans ? srsly ? then Shame them ?

The best place for a home cooked meal and a hub for many people that come to eat as a family and community pull together to welcome you here show you other places to eat and amazing churches not just for getting feed but clothes and food distribution. People gather huf you and ask if your doing ok. I feel a place of home and love here!!! I'm forever grateful and pray for you all!!!

I do not ask for help often. I'm the one that people come for help. I needed help with a utility bill. They paid it for me. They were kind and very helpful. They did not judge me. I'm so grateful for the help. They even called after with more resources.
