WORST WORKPLACE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET A JOB HERE OR CONSIDERING TO HAVE YOUR PARENTS MOVE IN, THINK TWICE!!

I've been working with them for almost three years as a contractor. Everything was smooth and well organized until the new CEO started working at this place. She set up new rules and procedures, which make Vibe so stressful. I also received new rules for us, and we strictly followed them, but I got YELLED AT by the CEO in front of a few employees at the lobby, from following the rules that they set!! This made the vibe more intense, and workers seem not happy and stressful to work here because of her behaviors. And recently the CEO made up a story that never existed, forcing the company to lay me off!!

After one week I got laid off, I stopped by to just drop off the uniforms and tried to farewell with some of the employees there. I didn't bother their jobs and was just sitting at the lobby; again, the CEO sent someone out and told me, "You are not our employee anymore, and you can't stay here without any specific reasons." They also texted my ex-manager, saying they feel nervous because I'm sitting in the lobby. This is EXTREMELY RUDE AND COLD!!

This place used to have a pleasant working atmosphere. Employees were friendly and always had smiles on their faces, just like a warm home. Now it's an intense, stressful place to work. Horrible, rude management that only hears one side story, carrying a fake smile, and never stands with employees. All they care is business. If you are looking for a cold working atmosphere with terrible company culture, you're at the right place! Also, imagine how they treat the patients if this is the way they treat their employees.

My father spent about a month here at their skilled nursing wing after recovering from an illness. The facility is nicely accomodated and the staff well-organized and attentive, which is rare in my limited experience at SNFs. Once my father was showing improvement, the staff decided that he was in good enough condition to be discharged on a specific date a week out. However, his condition worsened considerably the week of the planned discharge and the staff did not reevaluate him and reasses his condition as a result. The staff decided to proceed with the discharge anyway, citing that this is my father's "new baseline". On the day of discharge, my family and I picked him up to return home and it was clear that my father was not well. A day later after a traumatic experience attempting to care for my ailing father at home, we took him back to the ER and he was re-admitted to the hospital, where he has been for a week plus thus far. He should not have been discharged in the first place and should probably have been sent to the hospital. After an intinially great experience, I would not recommend this facility due to a lack of judgement and agility in a patient's changing condition.

My mom lived at the Reutlinger for over a year, in two different areas of Assisted Living. We moved her the Reutlinger due to her having Alzheimer's and not being able to live at home safely on her own.The staff at the Reutlinger were amazing and worked hard to make the facility welcoming for its residents. It is a beautiful facility and the assisted facility apartments are very nice.
The reason for 3 stars is due to the management of the facility. I participated in the Family Council that was created by a group of family members who were having issues with the facility towards the end of my mom living there and hopefully things have gotten better although the management felt their low patient to caregiver ratio, bad communication with families about everything including taking away a lot of the activities and transportation was adequate enough.
Personally, the main staff people I dealt with in most cases were overloaded with work and at times would take days or longer to get back to me. Most of the staff is not trained to deal with residents who had Dementia and it showed. I still had only met 2 of the caregivers in the higher level of assisted living after 5 months and shared my mom's frustration that because she didn't need bathing and dressing help her needs came after others who lived in the same hall as her. There was a real lack of communication between departments, which could be very frustrating when you really needed help, it could be hard to find. Staff would say they were going to follow up with certain things and many times the actual follow up never happened.
We moved my mom there with high hopes, but if things are still being run as they were 4 months ago when I moved here elsewhere, I would not recommend this facility.

My father lived here for the last five years of his life, in each of the living levels (independent/assisted, skilled nursing). He was cared for with love, compassion, and competence. I am grateful for the wonderful care he received, and the wonderful caretakers who work there.

We’ve had lots of friends stay here. The residents call it death row. The workers to me don’t seem to have a nice kind attitude. I’m there about once a week for the last 12 years…. I’ve been through quite a bit do staff. It’s important you stay an advocate for your family members if they go here. Otherwise I feel like they do get taken advantage of. Even the sweet ones sometimes they just want a bowl of soup and employees will be nasty to them and tell them it’s not time to eat.

“My relative and I are very impressed with The Reutlinger's scope of high quality services. We have seen a number of long term care facilities over the years and agree that The Reutlinger's reputation for high quality services is well deserved. The care is professional and the atmosphere is warm and supportive. There is stimulation for the mind, body and spirit.”
