I was first introduced to the Restoration House at an annual luncheon they host to showcase the work they do here in Knoxville. I was moved by the presentations where I saw first hand the impacts they have made for single mothers and children in the area. I decided to volunteer my time with the On-Belay children's program they run. I saw up close the impact they have on these children's lives. The development, community, and support they provide these children is awe-inspiring. I can honestly say that the programs they run are unmatched and I have yet to see another non profit in Knoxville provide the same level of services. I highly recommend The Restoration House, whether you are a single mother who needs assistance or an individual looking to give back to your community.

It just doesn’t sit right with me for programs denying single parents of help because of mistakes made 5+ years ago this being one of them. If a single mother needs help and has made a mistake or two while becoming a woman she should definitely be given help. Not only did you turn her away but her children had to suffer because of the judgment placed upon her. They also waited until an hour before the last interview to text (not call) but text and tell the mother she was turned away because of her background check. This mother had 4 children and one on the way.

I'm in the process of trying to get my oldest son back but cant do that without adequate housing (I live with my grandma who is 76 and raising my niece and nephew) there just isn't room. I was initially told they would be able to help. I had passed through the process and I have a steady job. At the end of said process they told me I couldn't get in unless I had custody of one child... I wouldnt need there help if I had custody of my son... I can't get him without housing but cant get housing without him... It makes no sense

Dont even bother with this place ladies. I am a single mother who has custody of my children and I'm in an undesirable situation (with documentation proof) and they still turned us down. Just sucking on that grant money 🙄

Another non profit that accomplishes little to nothing and somehow pays the directors plenty to continue their way of life. Nothing else operates like this anywhere else in life. These people should be ashamed and anyone thinking about putting a single dollar into this sham should look elsewhere.
