Making the decision to move a parent to Memory Care is extremely hard. There are so many emotions that you as their caregiver are trying to manage. As soon as I walked in to The Peaks Memory Care, I knew the team would care for my Mom with love and respect. Due to my mother’s quick health deterioration, I spent many hours, days and late nights at The Peaks. I got to see all hours and can say that the caregivers are always present, aware and going from one person’s need to person’s need seamlessly. I never heard complaining, I only heard, ā€œgive me a minute and I’ll come help.ā€ The caregivers always gave me so much support, detail on my Mom and love. My Mom passed during her time at The Peaks. I’ll miss seeing the caregivers on a frequent basis because they became an extension of my Mom’s family.

My mother is a resident of The Generations memory care unit. She has been very well cared for over a year and a half. I am so grateful for the staff and all that they do to ensure her safety and care!

My feeling is that as a family goes through the process of dementia and Alzheimer's, along with various other conditions with their loved one, The Peaks does their best! We have gone through a few different Directors but along the way Hilda has always been there for our family. Long before taking over as Director she began a wonderful and caring relationship with my mom. She is always in touch with my mother’s needs and takes the time to reach out whenever it is needed.

I feel that a big part of our success with my mother’s care is being flexible and reactive in conjunction with the caregivers at this facility. We have brought in a 3rd party during a time when our loved one’s care required one on one and overnight care that was more than is expected of the staff.
The staff has a very difficult job balancing each resident’s care and the whole of the community daily. Being responsible and respectful that the caregivers cannot neglect others because our needs may change during the course of my mom’s condition is important to recognize. I believe that if you build a strong relationship with all the members of your loved one’s care team you will find that your loved one will receive the proper care for their individual needs.
As for daily activities I am constantly amazed at all the wonderful opportunities my mother has to enjoy life with musical groups, crafts, and visits to local restaurants with all the loving staff! I visit often and my mom is always involved with some fun activity. I would highly recommend The Peaks Generations unit for their loved ones care.

My friend’s mom lives here, and she wanted me to post on her behalf because she’s afraid of retaliation since her mom still lives here. She has had a horrible experience. The management is atrocious and it’s clear that their ED Tom doesn’t know what he’s doing. She also found him rude and uncaring. He seems like the only thing he cares about is money and making himself look good.

The quality of the care is definitely lacking. For the most part, the caregivers are great, but she has noticed some issues such as laundry not being done correctly and meals that do not live up to her standard. She has not been impressed and I imagine she won’t be living at The Peaks for much longer.

They made all kinds of promises but never followed through, and now she’s having to face moving again. There are definitely better communities in the area, and my friend urges you not to move your loved one here.

They seemed good at first until there were some discrepancies in my fathers file from the short term rehab facility he was at and then they dropped the ball BIG TIME and I lost all respect I had for them. If you care about your patients you I'm more then discard them when there is any hint there might be challenges ahead with them, especially when those challenges were perceived due to an obvious mistake made by another facility. These guys just to get paid for an easy job and when the going gets tough they desert you. I'll never have anything good to say about them after the way they treated my father; they were simply awful.

My husband lived his last year and one half in memory care at The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail. He was cared for by their wonderful staff of caregivers in an environment of beautiful surroundings. No matter what issue came up, they were there for him and for me. I do not believe one could find a more loving, compassionate group of people than this community. We enjoyed taking walks or sitting out on the patio watching the runners and cyclists along Coal Creek Trail. Our experience included beauty and love, not just sadness and despair.

The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail and staff have been providing kind, and thoughtful caring for my Mom since 2019. The Memory Care staff works very hard to make their residents feel at home.

I cannot say enough fabulous things about Debby and the Peaks. My sister and I had to unexpectedly find an assisted living facility for our mother and we were incredibly stressed about every aspect of the situation. Debby was empathetic and understanding, and cognizant of the fact we were in a situation that was stressful and emotional. Debby was immediately responsive to our initial inquiry and was considerate of our rather urgent situation by getting a tour scheduled quickly. Not only did she schedule a tour quickly, she spent a lengthy amount of time with us on the tour, answering our seemingly endless questions. Over the next week, she was communicative and responsive as we tried to iron out details and to figure out what would be best fit for our mother. It was also wonderful to see her interact with the residents at the Peaks. It was obvious that she has made authentic and genuinely loving connections with the residents and they all seem be happy to be there.

We ulitmately ended up selecting a facility that is closer to my sister's home, but if the Peaks were closer, it would have been our choice hands down.

The one thing that the Peaks could improve upon is that they do not have a credit card machine. There is a good chance that we would have put a deposit down while we were there if they could have taken payment at that time.

I just have to give props to Debby one more time because she is an absolute gem.
