The lodge was a charming little place in a great location of Lake City. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The back patio was great with outdoor heaters and fire tables so we could enjoy the outdoor space well after dark. The owners were very friendly and communicated consistently from the time of booking our reservation to the day of check out. They even greeted us at check in with a complimentary beverage. The only improvement I would suggest is that the mattresses on both beds of our room were bowed in the middle and not very comfortable. They are in need of replacement. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again the next time we’re in the area.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here in July. A beautiful location in a very charming little town. The room was spacious and comfortable and well stocked, and the owners were so friendly! They went above and beyond to make me feel at home. From helping me with a couple of small items I had forgotten to bring, to a lovely conversation on the deck they really added to my experience— thank you Robin and Ed!!

I would highly recommend staying here— it’s a great value and this is one of the most beautiful parts of CO. I will definitely be back!

The room was fine. Rustic and nothing fancy but clean and some nice upgrades. The shower was very nice. The kitchenette was fully stocked although we couldn't get the induction stovetop to work (might have been user error). Beds were fine. There are extension cords everywhere - seems like a bit of a fire hazard?! Note that there is no cooling (not needed) and the only heat was from a small ineffectual space heater. It was fine with the warm weather we had but would be a problem in the winter. Biggest issue was access and parking. The "driveway" is deeply rutted and very steep. We have a truck so wasn't bad to negotiate but could be a problem for some. The parking is VERY tight. We literally parked with the front of the truck about a foot from the front door. They also have a big bear problem which is probably not helped by the recycle stuff being kept in a trash can right by the office. The owner kindly warned us not to have ANY FOOD in the cab or back of the truck as someone's camper shell had been destroyed just a few nights before as the folks left food in the back. We did find bear paw prints on our truck one morning but no damage. You can walk to a small grocery, a bakery and one restaurant but it's a trudge along the highway to get to the main part of town. I probably would not stay here again.

Super cute place to stay - easy walk into historic downtown and very close to tons of outdoor activities (stayed for hiking Handies Peak). Owner Hugh was super friendly and great host! Room was clean and comfortable.

What a lovely setting! Comfy beds and each room unique and decorated to fit the theme of its name. Fantastic views. Robin was really sweet and welcoming. We biked from Silverton over Engineer to get there and Robin was happy to have us bring our bikes into the room for the night. And Thank you for the complimentary happy hour!

North Face Lodge exceeded my expectations with its breathtaking views from the patio and charming rooms. The rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and log cabin feel. Robin's exceptional service made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. My only regret is not having more time to spend there. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this lodge for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the North face Lodge and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfy room with a great view. The price was very affordable too. There were 7 of us and we all gathered on the large back deck in the evening for relaxation and fun conversation after riding our motorcycles in the area and also riding on the Alpine Loop. ROBIN the hostess was fabulous in welcoming us and making us feel at home. She offered drinks and snacks on the back deck for everyone every night. I would definitely book this place to stay again! ~Michele

We loved our stay here!!! Clean, quaint, and great location for our adventures. The shared deck is lovely. The owner, Hugh, was so kind and willingness to share info about the area was wonderful. We highly recommend!
