I take guitar lessons at The Gig, and my son takes drum lessons. This is the coolest studio ever! Martin can teach all the rock & roll instruments, and is super cool and great with kids and adults. What sets The Gig apart is that it's not just music lessons. Every student gets the opportunity to play in a group with their peers, like a real rock band, and we play gigs regularly! He teaches in a way that makes it not scary at all, and it's been awesome to practice songs and play them at a gig, and not get stressed or nervous, it's so fun! Alanna does a great job organizing, scheduling, staying on top of the communication, and they are accommodating with the occasional scheduling conflict. If there were 6 stars, I'd give them that!

Niwot Gig is the perfect way to get into rock, Martin has a great method to teach and encourage kids to rock in days, my son wanted to play keys on a band, after 1 lesson he was already jamming with a band directed by Martin, what else can you ask?!!
I have witnessed how fun his lessons are, and how does Martin puts his heart in every minute of the lesson or jam.

Both of our kids are taking private lessons with Martin and they are doing weekly jam sessions with their respective bands as well. Seeing how quickly they are developing skills, getting used to being on stage and growing as musicians is amazing. We are absolutely thrilled about The Niwot Gig and the kids are excited about their music lessons!

The gig has been an amazing level up in guitar for my son. From the individual instruction to weekly jams with kids his own age, my son is loving guitar. The quaint studio and cameras allow me to enjoy watching my kid rock out.

This family owned business ticks all the boxes if you want to learn or improve your playing. Martin is a fantastic teacher with enormous patience and enthusiasm. Allana keeps her eye on the business end of things and is always helpful and accommodating when it comes to changing schedules etc. They deserve every success.
