EDIT: Management Trust responded to our review. We HAVE BEEN in contact with both Tanner and Michelle, Doug's bosses. Neither has followed up or contacted residents. We have been openly trying to communicate with them since August and they have been openly avoiding talking to us. DO NOT TRUST THEM OR USE THEM. Original review below.

Our community manager, Doug Griffing, has been actively avoiding meeting with residents for over two months following an asbestos spill from an illegal renovation. Doug and the Management Trust were notified of the asbestos hazard by the state on September 8th and have yet to act, citing they're "talking to the attorneys" for two months as an excuse to do nothing.

Today, October 22nd, Doug had a scheduled meeting with both the HOA board and residents of the community, a meeting he chose to skip.

Doug is negligent in his duties, actively avoids speaking to residents and will avoid putting anything at all in writing to avoid liability.

Doug is a liability and harmful to the residents of our large community. Management Trust choosing to employ him shows they condone his (lack of) management style.

Photo of the haphazard asbestos abatement from the company they hired and let run rampant through our building.

I've been trying to reach SoBo 58 HOA since January, leaving multiple voicemails and sending several emails to Douglas Griffing, the HOA Manager, with no response. The lack of communication and
unresponsiveness is incredibly frustrating. Homeowners deserve better service and at the very least, acknowledgment of their concerns. I hope the HOA improves its communication and accountability moving forward.

UPDATE: 03/21/25,

I followed up via the email provided in the response by the owner. Still no response from them or anyone.

Benjamin assisted me with rental arrangements at my neighborhood rec center in Anthem. He took the time to show me around and made sure I understood the contract prior to signing. He has a warm and cheerful demeanor, paired with exceptional customer service skills. He went above and beyond to fulfill all of my requests. Thank you Benjamin! Your passion for your work shows!

Anthem Highlands Front Desk Associate - Larae Rivas was extremely helpful in time of need! My husband and I were out walking in the neighborhood and he had a low blood sugar attack. We popped into the PCC to help him take a minute and get some sugar. She provided him with her own personal snacks and was so kind and gave genuine concern until we we all set and on our way back home. Thank you so much for you generosity Larae!

I would just like to say Sheila Nauman does an exceptional job! She handles things in a speedy and professional manner. She had my roof leaking repaired and my gutter fixed. Not to mention She always has an answer for any questions I present to her.

I’ve had an incredible experience with Sheila Nauman, the manager at an HOA community managed by Management Trust. I’m so thankful they have such a standout professional on their team. HOA management companies are the critical first point of contact for sellers’ and buyers’ agents working to market or purchase homes in the communities they serve. Having someone like Sheila—professional, responsive, quick, and efficient—is invaluable.

Unfortunately I’m required to give The Management Trust 1 start just to post a review. As a homeowner there are a number of responsibilities added to your plate and The Management Trust doesn’t make things any easier. In the four years under this HOA I never had a positive experience. From having my car wrongfully towed and taking over 3 months to be reimbursed, to having a roof leak and being told I needed to have a lawyer to have the issue resolved. The final straw was having additional water damage from a defaulted roof. It took over a month to try to get in contact with someone as my many calls and voicemails went unanswered. My homeowners insurance claim was closed as a result of the lack of cooperation from this HOA. This organization is completely unorganized and frankly seems they are overwhelmed with the responsibility of managing multiple properties. But at last my prayers were answered and The Management Trust no longer manages my condominium complex. What took The Management Trust over 1 month to not address the additional water damage has taken my new HOA only 1 week to begin working towards a resolution. If you have the option to select a different managing company, this is your sign to do so. Save yourself the headache and hassle and don’t use The Management Trust to manage your property. P.S. @The Management Trust, I don’t need you comment with your contact information as you have for other reviews because as others have commented, we know your priority is not customer satisfaction.

I do not recommend. When the community I lived in was under management trust, our community was barely maintained. They always hired the worst contractors and didn’t keep them accountable. Always late to provide HOA board with necessary financial documents which meant our community often paid late fees or had to make rushed decisions. Board and numerous homeowners had to annoy them to get them to provide the bare minimum. Even then many issues were never addressed. We had many community managers during the 5 years they managed which meant we never had continuity. They also did not enforce community rules and would often lie to homeowners about addressing blatant CC&R infractions and other issues within the community including safety concerns.
