Awesome food bank! It is a drive through/ no contact food bank located beside Daniel's bar and grill on Chapman hwy in Knoxville TN. They are open every Thursday 10am to 12pm
( those are the new hours they used to be open until 1pm although they may stay open alil later than 12pm depending on amount of food left . The good stuff goes fast tho and it is recommended to arrive before 10am to get in line to get the best items and not have to wait long.) On the first Thursday of every month they offer USDA meats and produce for anyone on EBT foodstamps and you get that on top of the regular food offered. You do not have to prove income or fill out alot of paper work and the food is great usually we have gotten whole cakes and high dollar cheeses and breads .. they are the sweetest people ever and my experience has been wonderful. They had a fun festival thing once and I won a $25 dollar food city gift card and a 24 pack of energy drinks and coffee mocha canned drinks and soda and I was like the last person there . They used to give free milk vouchers for gallons of weigles milk free but havent had those this year so far. They give more and higher quality food than other food banks in my experience. I highly recommend this charitable food bank for anyone struggling financially. They are a Christian organization also have church services on sundays and wednesdays at the church there. They take written prayer requests on Thursday during the food service as well.
