When I first came to the bridge over the troubled water, I was completely broken. I felt like giving up, but once I had my first night of sleep and I woke up the next day feeling refreshed, I knew that this place was a place for me, so I decided to stay, and I'm glad that I did. Thank you so much, Mrs.Emily and Ms. Sammie, for the advice & the help that you all have given me. I absolutely love this place. I recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a fresh start. And also remember, ladies, in order to receive help, you have to be willing to help yourself. It's not going to come to you for free. Thanks again. Bridge over troubled waters. You all are the best. I'm leaving, feeling refreshed and renewed with a better mindset, and most of all, I love myself.🥰

Terrible experience! It’s a shame because this program is well funded and setup to help survivors with housing and many other things. They truly cherry pick who they’re going to help. After my bad experience I met many in case management who talked about how they end up helping a lot of the people they arbitrarily turned away. This place also heavily and closely monitors their GOOGLE REVIEWS AND REMOVE any NEGATIVE ONES THAT CAN ACTUALLY IMPACT THEM. I’m an ATTORNEY AND THEY DELETED A VERY HONEST REVIEW THAT I DID A MONTH AGO.

YOU CANT KEEP DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING BECAUSE I SEE YOU AND A COMPLAINT TO THE STATE WITH EVIDENCE FROM SEVERAL CASE WORKERS THAT YOU ARBITRARILY TURN PEOPLE AWAY WILL BE WAY MORE IMPACTFUL THAN THIS GOOGLE REVIEW‼️👀

At first, I truly loved it here, mainly because of the staff. Ms. Sanja, Cadience, and the lunch crew—Ms. Yolanda, Skyer, and Mr. James—are the heart and soul of this shelter. They make it a better place. The shelter itself is decent: families with kids get their own rooms, while singles have to share. Theres rules, curfew and chores (that nobody does or follow) However, the worst part is the caseworkers, they don’t seem to care about people as individuals. You’re treated as just another dollar sign! They collect money off of you living there, but will kick you out for minor reasons while keeping others who are openly using drugs, like meth, in the shelter. For example, my friend, who was eight or nine months pregnant, was told it was "best for her to leave before her baby was born”, just because her due date was close to her exit date. I was kicked out with my 3-year-old daughter because of a situation where they overstepped their bounds, acting like CPS. Meanwhile, people smoking METH in the bathrooms remain without issue. The caseworkers doesn’t seem to genuinely help you find housing or resources and it appears if you’re not Hispanic, you’re less likely to be prioritized for housing through them. Thankfully, I’ll be moving into my own place in a couple of days. THAT I HAD TO FIND MYSELF! It’s been a tough journey, but I’m relieved to be moving forward. WITHOUT THE HELP OF BRIDGE OVER TROUBLE WATERS

The daycare itself is absolutely amazing! In just three months, I’ve seen a significant improvement in my daughter’s vocabulary, and she genuinely adores her teacher. She’s so excited about daycare that she even wakes up on Saturday mornings asking to go. I’d give the daycare a 10/10. Unfortunately, due to the bridge overstepping their boundaries and trying to control aspects of my personal life, I had to refuse their demands. As a result, we’ve been told we have to leave, meaning my daughter will have to part ways from her teachers and friends. It’s clear they’re not truly here to help.

Our group volunteered in the kitchen for a service event. The Food Service Manager (Ethel) and assistant (Yolanda) were phenomenal. Their professional and servants heart were a breath of fresh air. Over the top kudos to the food Service and all other employees on duty during our event. A special thank you to Jessica on guiding us thru the process.
