I was assigned an arc advocate for my son quite some time ago. Genesis helped me get through the child find with my son….and that was kind of it. We still have yet to set up aba in school although ive been asking about it non stop since before the school year. Genesis continues to act as if im supposed to put all the legwork in and keep her informed and somehow that is being helpful with my son…. She has repeatedly threatened closure of my case as if im not in contact with her but she fails to follow through with things weve talked about. Its not that shes not helpful at all just going through the motions and checking the boxes off. i was then proceeded to be told by genesis when to email the school regarding my son and deeming my multiple attempts at communication with them “ranting” and inappropriate although i have went this whole week emailing constantly looking for answers to the neglect that is happening to my son in school and i received 1 email back from said teacher. She also shared information with me regarding another student recieving services from the arc in the classroom my son was in but told me “not to tell anyone” she said that. I would like a new arc advocate that is willing to support my sons best interest and not insert their personal feelings and opinions and also willing to be transparently on my son's side. She's supposed to be supporting my son not criticizing what I'm doing in an attempt to get support for him

I have went to the Arc store here in Colorado springs for years now,I always round up for the disabled because my own child is disabled. I went to the Arc yesterday, Tuesday 4/20,and I am extremely upset with the way my child and I were treated. My daughter is hearing disabled and the Governors rules say she does not need to wear a mask,my daughter and I were chased after through the store and very loudly being yelled at about her wearing a mask. She has a hard time with the mask and not being able to hear.I disagree on how this was handled and I'm tired of being treated like this over a piece of cloth over the face. She has had surgery on her ear and the mask hurts her ears, since the Arc is suppose to support the disabled I would expect better handling of this situation.

Their “pricing slaves” in the back are forced to price items that are clearly trash, because the have to make “their numbers” each day!
Goodwill treats employees MUCH better, and they don’t price TRASH!
