This building is a damn joke i have called and called over 100×, left voice-mails, and even called the hotline for snap! No one picks up the phones at all! Never recieved a call from my worker! They fail in their job to help people! I have even been up since the crack of dawn until they supposedly close on the damn phone waiting for someone to answer! This is ridiculous!

Literally jave tried for weeks and was out on gold for 4-5hrs and still no one answered the dang phone and even when i tried the number for food stamps appointment change they still never freaking answered! This is ridiculous! For people that r supposedly open until 430 they make sure they close before they answer ur call if ur lucky they even answer it to begin with. I have left voice mails and have tried calling back to back and still nothing from their end

If you have to reach Anderson DHS, you're better off to go straight to their office. A lot of people have been having issues, but it's not the county department that's the problem, it's the state department that they work for. There was a lady with glasses and a gentleman there, and both were extremely helpful and courteous to us. They immediately helped us with everything we needed and explained that the voicemail that is setup there cannot be accessed, even by them. They got our stuff sent in and contacted us as soon as they did.

I have tried for a week straight to contact this office, only to have my various messages ignored. If you actually need help this place is a joke and doesn't take the community seriously. I am disappointed that this is how they treat families. Not everything can be resolved with an automated call system.

Ridiculous that nobody works here or answers a phone. It's always call the 1800 number... then you sit on hold for 3 hours to get answered by somebody smacking food in your ear and breathing like they are going to die just to tell you they will transfer to your county workers and the wait is up to 5 hours. BE FOR REAL.

I haven't received my food stamps this month. NO ONE WILL ANSWER TJR THE PHONE. it's like they just sit there and listen to the phone ring, and they don't call you back either. I am one ANGRY mother, that will be showing up tomorrow at the office!

The workers at the Oak Ridge location are so kind and helpful. They make getting things done so much easier.

They are rude and lazy. A woman came in to turn some stuff in. And the lady gave her the 3rd degree. After her standing in line for 15 minutes why they was doing nothing. My husband stood in line 22 minutes before the gentleman helped him. They judge people when they walk in that door. Sweethearts if you hate your job that bad you should find you another one. None of them except for the gentleman had customer service attitude. They need more job training.
