I no longer attend this church. I used to volunteer there, until I was escorted out by security for no real reason.

I was greeting at the worship center doors until it was time to go inside and take a seat. I had asked one of the security guards a question and he simply told me "I don't have time for this". As i went inside I told him that that behavior was rude and unacceptable and he yelled out "what did you say" as pastor Steve was starting his sermon. I simply looked at him baffled and proceeded to take my seat. This dude put his hand on my neck and arm and told me he was escorting me out, I complied. This dude was pissed. I understand maybe he was having a bad day, and I understand that and forgive him. I have no Ill will towards him (Ceaser) .

The ministry saw fit to arrange a meeting where we could talk things out and move on. I attended, in part because that was one the stipulations for me returning to the ministry to volunteer. At the meeting Ceaser exuded mild arrogance and spoke over one of the elders (Ron Davenport) I was put off but I looked over that and simply embraced him for who he was and forgave him. I thought that was the end of it. The Week that followed, Sunrise informed me that I was no longer allowed to volunteer anymore.

That's when I began to react to the unfair treatment that the Ministry at Sunrise was dishing out and decided to not return.

I can't fathom how one of their security guards commits civil battery against one of its volunteers and instead of taking corrective action against the unhinged security guard they instead take punitive action against the victim.

I heard those security guards also beat up someone in the parking lot and broke his nose. Makes you wonder if they come from the lineage of Saul.

Pathetic excuse for a ministry with no moral compass.

No wonder it's been dying, ever since they displaced Pastor Jay.

There's no sense of integrity at Sunrise.

I will look elsewhere to connect with God.

I've been attending for almost 20years. Right when we moved to San Bernardino . They have a great worship team, the pastors are chill and the word of God is shared in so many ways. I love the events they hold to get the family involved.
They have kids club from newborn to high school to even young adults.
It could look intimidating to some people but there's so many small groups to join & start meeting new people a little at a time.
I love my church.

I have been looking for a church that has easy to understand sermons, programs for the younger people, is welcoming and striving to help the community. I have found it. A great place to worship.

Spanish Pastor Moises is great! Great service every week. Worship is amazing! He teaches the word of God in such a relatable way. Been a member for almost 20 years!

I’ve been part of the sunrise church family my entire life. I’ve come and gone over the 20+ years and although I always enjoyed it, I never felt connected to God the way that I do now with Pastor Steve. He really breaks the word down into real life scenarios and is so extremely dynamic that he captures and keeps my attention. He preaches directly from the Bible but it’s not mundane and boring like I’ve experienced years ago. The new approach has moved me and has lit the fire in me to really want a relationship with Christ like I’ve never had before. I’ve always loved this church for the community and the campus is super nice but having pastor Steve as the new lead pastor has really transformed the congregation.

There are a ton of wonderful classes and counselors so I really recommend getting connected in a small group. The sermons are a huge part of my learning but the groups and classes are where the deep discussions can happen that so many of us need.

Since his leadership, there’s also been a much better online presence which has been perfect because I can attend virtually all the way here in Dallas, TX. Check the playlists on their YouTube channel!
