Sunrise provided a comfortable space and quality care for my family and father. The staff was genuine, wonderful and caring, intake was thorough and seamless. For anyone heading into this phase, I would highly recommend Sunrise at Orchard. We toured several in the area and Sunrise was by far the best option. The space was warm and updated and we were able to visit my father at any hour day/night. The coordination with hospice worked quite well - there were a few communication hiccups that necessitated some advocacy to get everyone on the same page. Nothing major, but highlights the importance of being your own best advocate. Its a busy and challenging environment and they did an outstanding job handling my father's care and each and every request from my family. We thank them for their kindness during our short stay.

I have been a provider for many years at Sunrise at Orchard. The caregivers are wonderful and provide thoughtful, consistent care to the residents. I love this facility due to its culture, a true community with frequent special activities including music, art projects, tea parties, etc. I am always greeted with smiles from all the staff and residents and feel a real sense of camaraderie.

Our family would 120% recommend Sunrise at Orchard for a facility to take a high-needs senior requiring Assisted Living. We found a 2 bedroom at just the right time as my mother’s needs were intensifying. My mother’s previous assisted living facility had decided that it was inconvenient to have a senior living with them who required a two person assist for transfers – and had recommended Skilled Nursing. Skilled Nursing facilities (while often necessary) are cramped, unbelievably expensive, and for only one occupant. (Which would have separated my parents and added to their hardship.)
The staff at Sunrise were AMAZING – they were open to suggestions, followed procedures, and showed genuine care for my mom. She was able to stay in an apartment with my dad all the way up until the end - which was wonderful. Sunrise's new manager Jason dramatically improved the condition of the facilities and staff response time in just a few months. Sunrise also has several GREAT and caring staff – Nila, Aspen, James, Bonnie, Yulitza, and Espie – just to name a few. Hayley, the manager for Assisted Living, was not only a supervisor – but was willing to work hands-on with mom when extra help was needed. She even came in to work early on numerous occasions to make sure that the morning routine was attended to properly. I sincerely hope that no one I love ever needs the level of care that was necessary to reduce my mother’s suffering. However, if such care is ever needed again– my first choice would be to have them reside at Sunrise at Orchard.

My mother has been there 2 weeks. After touring many assisted living facilities, we chose Sunrise . The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. She has especially enjoyed the front desk staff and the nursing staff. For me the fact that the medical and nursing care that comes to her is caring is important. There have been some adjustments but we are both happy with Sunrise at Orchard.

I moved here from out of state, wanting to love this place. I loved the building (that’s literally what drew me to that place) and ended up loving the residents. However, the extremely heavy staff turnover was brutal. Training was non-existent for me due to my RCD leaving soon after I got there. The regional fill in RCD was also new to the job. There was just So much unknown from everyone. One person says one thing, 10 minutes later it’s something else. (Not even exaggerating on this). Nobody ever seemed to have a clue what was actually going on. There was SO MUCH work to try and catch up on, making it even more stressful. I hope that once they have some solid staff they are able to provide better care as well. Multiple times call lights went off way longer than they ever should have. I personally had multiple complaints from residents about call lights and answer times. Overall, the place was 100% not what I was expecting to walk into. I tried to hold on and give it a fair chance once we got a new RCD in the building. There ended up being an issue with my license and I was under the impression that I should not be working until my CO license was obtained (even though I had a multi state license). I was told that our ED contacted the top HR dept, and unfortunately we had to sever our contract, but I could reapply once my CO license was issued. When I called another company that I was to work PRN for to find out if they had any “caregiver” positions until my license issue was cleared, their HR actually took the time to dig into my case further and confirmed that I WAS still good to work under my multi state license. I’ve since had ANOTHER company tell me the same thing. I was baffled why Sunrise wouldn’t have told me that, vs severing my contract. They never reached out to me to check on the status of things prior to notifying me of severing the contract. Maybe it was a way out for them? Who knows. Overall, unfortunately it was just a very disappointing experience. I had multiple people (who dont even work FOR sunrise), but associated with the company, tell me that the nurse turnover rate is absurd there. I have definitely worked at worse places, don’t get me wrong, but I’m still not convinced that I would be comfortable sending my loved one here until they get things more under control.

My Mom has been at Sunrise for approximately 9 months in the Memory Care section. I am so glad I chose Sunrise for her. After numerous tours at other facilities, what stood out was how the staff was genuinely smiling at me, the residents and visitors. It’s clear this is a good, kind place to work. Everyone knows my Mom well and they have gotten to know me and my family as well. The nursing staff is excellent and takes care of concerns promptly. I feel I could not have made a better choice!
