Basketball courts are top-of-the-line. Gym has pretty much everything you need. They had a fun game area for the young ones. The hot tub is great. The conference rooms are great for a party. The pool is a bit cold for my liking in Colorado.

My first impressions of Sun Ute wasn't the greatest but with the help of director Robin everything was cleared up and it's been wonderful since. Today my experience was one for the books especially after nearly 8 years. I saw that new members can weaponize the staff by simply not liking something myself or anyone else can do. I understand BGC grievances because they're directly under the gym so I have respect for that. But I can't find it in myself to overlook the issue about lifting 300+ lbs and the noise it will make as it's returned to the rack. I go in to make a change for a healthier lifestyle and create strength not to socialize or focus on other Patriots who are doing the same for themselves. No matter the level of experience or physical abilities they are in or trying to accomplish. People forget it's a gym not a library or court room or hospital and if they have time to focus on what I'm doing to better myself by complaining about the manner of setting down a 300+ lbs set and the noise it makes. They probably shouldn't be in a gym anyways, I've overlooked dirty looks and judgemental behavior from people who have come and gone. But I must remind all this is a gym not a planet fitness hang back spot... I encourage everyone to come and make that change they are wanting. As I love this place I'm sure you'll love it too. But the weaponizing of staff from personal reflection or irritation is what shouldn't be brought to the Sun Ute Rec. "Leave that at home"

I can't speak much on the work out or sports section of the building. But it is a great place to go swimming! Me and my friends have had so much fun and created great memories here. I've been coming to this pool since I was very young and can't list a single bad thing about it. There is a steaming sauna, peaceful hot tub, nice lap lanes, a large pool area, entertaining things for kids to play on, a shallow place for kiddies, and even a patio to sun yourself on! I would totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun experience!

The staff & director were amazing during the Diggin It Durango 2024 volleyball tournament! The facilities were clean and accessible. We were even treated to an opening prayer the 1st day. This community center was awrsome. Thanks again for the hospitality!

Staff very unfriendly.. No real schedule for open basketball. Was there on Friday at 9 am and had 15 min of shooting around before kids had taken over entire gym even with barriers up. Waste of time and money the staff being very unfriendly makes things worse!!

Decent facility and great staff. They have a gym with weights and rowing machine, pool, sauna, hot tub, and family showers. The only thing they're missing is an indoor track, but they have treadmills. I've done one class here and it was good. I've also had 2 birthday parties here which turned out great. This is one of the best rec centers I've been too, and I've gone to Durango's and Cortez's.

The staff is so friendly. Front desk, group excercise, weight trainers, lifeguards and all others I have failed to mention. You have access to so much and for a great price. I always feel good about myself and others after a workout.
