This is a very friendly place. I felt welcomed and at home here when I first visited. The services are a little different from Catholic and Protestant ones, and that's refreshing. The warmth of the congregation radiates around you, and they want visitors to stay and eat lunch with them, if possible. Fr. Alexander is very warm and down-to-earth as well.

We looked for a church for a long time that we loved and felt like home. We were back and forth between a few and never found people that made us feel welcome until we came to St. Tikhon in Parker. We were welcomed by the parish and the next week they remembered who we were, and welcomed us back again. Everyone was excited to get to know us and really cared for our family. We have had people that knew us at church in the past, but we could go weeks, months or years without showing up and I don't think they even noticed we were gone. This is not the case at St. Tikhon.
We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and becoming family with everyone at the parish. To have a community that loves and cares for us, and continues to nurture our growth. I can honestly say I used to look for excuses to skip church, but when we cannot make it here, I feel sad and miss our family. We have found our home in a church and feel welcomed, fulfilled, and continue to learn and grow here. The clergy is not only helpful but likes to talk with us, get to know us and have conversations after church during lunch hour. The support we have felt has been incredible, and we really cannot say enough how much we love this church.

This parish was a second family to me for the 8 years that I attended until I moved out of state. I did travel back to Parker last month just to attend the mission's 10th anniversary celebration.
