Unfortunately I have to give this church a negative review. My wife and I are devout Catholics who have gone to Mass weekly our entire 50+ years on God's earth. On one Saturday Mass, after the final blessing and after the priest and the cross had left the altar and made it to the back of the church, my wife and I started heading for the door to leave. The priest, who was also in the process of leaving, abruptly stopped us and said we couldn't leave. We were speechless. He said in this church we stay until the singing is done and then he proceeded to leave. Other parishioners were looking at us and we were extremely embarrassed. We were trying to leave AFTER the deacon said "The Mass has ended. Go in peace to love and serve the Lord." The priest literally stopped us from going in peace! Please note I am genuinely happy to see our negative experience at the church is in the minority. As for us, it will be a long time before we return, if ever.

Nice singing mass. Mass went really well until the end when I tried to check the open door gift shop and some old lady tells about some random rule that itโ€™s not open till the Father walks out of mass. Mass has already been conducted all morning and why wouldnโ€™t the door be closed if the shop is closed?!? She allowed me to browse after saying Iโ€™m new but honestly close the door if you canโ€™t be bothered to let people shop.

Very, very nice service for my aunt Mary Jane. The priest and staff are among the kindest I have ever met.
If you want to attend church in San Antonio Texas, this is the place to go. My aunt donated one of the altars to the church. May she rest in peace.

We have found our home here at St Padre Pio after many years of spiritual journey through different denominations and churches. We narrowed our search to Holy Trinity and St Padre Pio. Our final decision was made by the community that just Is at Padre Pio. There is a sense of welcome and caring among the congregation and something special about this Church. It is a good facility even though it is the temporary structure as the sanctuary is being built. Msr. Pat, the Deacons, staff and people are all warm and welcoming. They are also very committed to working everyday to imitate Christ in their walk which is very appealing and humbling. The Church upholds the beliefs of the Catholic Church which may offend people at times, but for those it does, step back and take in the Word and direction it gives to see if adjustments may be in need of the way we live our lives in this world. Again we feel finally at home here at St. Padre Pio and pray that the church continues to influence more in the community to bring more people to ever lasting life!

Loved going here until recently when one of the preachers preached about abortion and transgenders. I understand we all have opinions but to do it in a church is sad because thats where people come to feel at peace and welcoming. Will definitely not be going back here.

Great people in a great place. Padre Pio should have popped up there if he didn't. Stay attentive to Sunday bulletin and news and don't miss an opportunity to donate and do something good in life, last thing was to collect Christmas baskets for people in need. The baskets had a required list of things inside. Best wishes for Christmas and New Year 2023.

My family moved here after the 2017 hurricanes devastated all we had. This faith community has nourished our spiritual recovery, in a sustainable way. As a further testimony, this church has been acknowledged as spirit filled by friends, who have a deep resentment towards the Catholic Church. Now that's a truthful faith community.
