Ft. Lupton is a hidden gem in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. It is run by volunteers and offers a wonderful historic trip back to the mid-1800's. Google "special event dates and visiting dates/times" because you just missed the Trapper Days Rendezvous. It had many authentic trapper vendors set up, a black powder muzzle rifle range, spinning wheel demonstrations, blacksmithing, blade sharpening, and wood carving. The Buffalo Soldiers did an amazing routine that drew quite a crowd. The trading post was also open for business and really busy. This is a perfect place to leave the 2000's behind and enjoy the past.

It's a reconstruction of wn adobe yrading fort from the mid-19th century. The volunteer staff do a great job of interpreting life and activities of Fort Lupton. The first Saturday of May each year, they hold Heritage Day. Living history people from many periods attend: Vikings to WW2.

The fort is now open from May thru october, sat sun 10am to 4pm. Those wishing to rent the meeting hall , or host large groups can make a call or txt to open the fort. When there are rendezvous going on in the camp grounds down below, the fun and show value increases.
