Great place, we set in the back since we had a large party. It was cold in the back, people were talking about going to go get there jacket. Service was great, especially since we had a large party. Food came out pretty quick and the waitress kept our drinks full. The beans were amazing, fried okra was perfectly cooked, cornbread was delicious, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was delicious, the ribs were disappointing because they were almost all fat. The ribs were what I was waiting for due to all the rave about them. Others with our group said the food was good but some of the meats were really fatty. I would definitely go back but would try something different next time. If you like BQ, then you definitely need to try the place.

We had rather low hopes for this place. It's a local chain that looks a bit too polished to really specialize in smoking good meat. But we were surprised.

We ordered the Dave's Triple Platter for the two of us and we were not disappointed by the quality or quantity of food. Everything was great, but I think the brisket and the sausages were our favorites.

We were super hungry after hiking all day without food - and this mound of meat did us in for the night.

Best pulled pork and beef brisket ever. Slowly smoked to perfection in the big smoker in the back. Excellent choice of local brews as well. I had it with baked beans ..and it was delicious. The atmosphere makes this place even more special, see my attached pictures.

This place is great. The bison ribs were fire, the brisket was melt in the mouth, the chicken was perfectly smoked and the meatloaf was very flavorful. Service was great and the sides were bomb too? The cornbread was moist and sweet. The jalapeno hush puppies were crispy and fresh. The baked beans were sweet and smoky and the collard greens were seasoned perfect. Last the dessert was great! We went with amd shared the fudge brownie alamode and the bread pudding. Both were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try more!

My son’s wedding party went here after the wedding rehearsal and did not have reservations. They immediately set us up
In a back room all to ourselves and took care of our every need. The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious, and they were so gracious and accommodating!! Lots of fun was had by all. Don’t pass through Lyins without stopping in for a meal at Smokin’ Dave’s!! They are awesome!

"Title: Exceptional BBQ Experience in Charming Lyons!

From the moment we arrived, the service was immediate and warm. The place is cozy and the decoration is authentic and typical of a traditional Colorado town, which we loved. The staff's attention was special and friendly, the prices are fantastic, and the cocktails were very well prepared. But the best part was the food: 100% recommended! The quality and flavor of the BBQ are exceptional. We would always come back to this place. It's a must-visit for any BBQ lover! Smoking Dave's BBQ in Lyons is a true gem. Me and my family had gotten the not-so-tiny-wahine( sides: mashed potato’s, sweet potato fries, baked beans, and the Mac and cheese)and a cheese burger off of the kids menu. I saw the place was highly rated so I was hoping for the best. Our server was extremely nice as well as the staff there. Our food came out relatively quick. The serving size was well worth the price and we had left overs as well. I found that the pulled pork was dry and the ribs were a little too fatty(which I didn’t even know was possible!), the brisket was probably the best part. Now for the sides, I loved the flavor in the baked beans, the Mac and cheese was extremely good, the sweet potato fries were pretty average, and the mashed potatoes were good as well. The corn bread was good and probably the best part of the whole meal, however there was a cold chunk of butter in the middle of each of them. Overall the place had a friendly atmosphere, and great service, however I have had better BBQ! It was a nice thing to try!
