I had a great time at the (Second Chance) in Telluride! Sit,Stay,Shop! That we did! I brought my dog Dollop in, she actually got to pick out a new dog bed her self! Dollop approved as she cuddled up in it and looked at me as if she already knew it was hers lol, not to mention I got it for a fraction of the price that I saw it for online! It was really nice that they let Dollop in and gave her lovings and treats of course! I can’t wait to see what treasures we can find next time! Maybe even something for me lol. But seriously, great people and great cause with top-notch products 😁🫶🏼🐾

This is by far one of the classiest and fabulously curated thrift shops anywhere! On top of that, the proceeds go to the Second Chance Humane group. They rescue, treat and provide animal adoption services throughout the county. Feels so good to spend money for such a great cause!

As a part-time resident, we choose to donate between the thrift shop (supporting animal welfare) and the free box (supporting locals). We often donate most items to the free box for use by locals as we try to support employees because they are the lifeline of our community. On many occasions (too many to count and too many to be a coincidence), we have found the items we place in the free box have been picked up almost immediately and placed in the thrift shop for top dollar amounts. The thrift shop manager vehemently denied and accepted no responsibility for knowing who is taking things from the free box and giving them to the thrift shop to sell. She is stealing from the locals!! She is completely dishonest as it’s either an employee(s) or a local resident who clearly checks out the free box REGULARLY, if not daily, and then gives the items to the thrift shop REGULARLY. It is the manger’s responsibility to call these people out but when we spoke to her after identifying several items in the shop which we had just placed in the free box, she denied any knowledge or responsibility and a complete unwillingness to address this with employees, volunteers, or donors. Shame on her. And to make things worse, she loudly said this in front of all customers! Please hire a new manager, Second Chance. From now on we will have to hand our items directly to locals we know want/need our donations.

I would not use the word "thrift" to describe this store as there was nothing thrifty about it. Sweaters and jackets here are priced $50+. Saw some jackets for $70+. I get that it's for charity but those prices are delusional and used clothes are simply not worth that much in any world. Let's not forget that their cost of goods was literally $0 too. No reason to be tagging donated goods at such crazy prices other than pure greed and a lack of understanding how thrift stores are supposed to work.

I liked this place. Tons of ski boots and skiis. Lots of cute clothes and interesting stuff. I really wanted the penguin plate that was painted by a local artist and some other art but didn’t have room in my luggage. I think the prices for stuff were a little high but it was very nice, barely used stuff. My local thrift store will charge $20 for a sweater with a bleach stain- this is not like that at all! Everything is in very very nice condition and nice brands. Of course it’s a thrift store though so it’s luck of the draw if you find something. The 30 mins we were there, we didn’t interact with anyone working there which was a little odd. A hello would be nice but I don’t want to be nagged so it worked out for me. Most of the clothing is in small, medium. Not a lot of large or XL but it’s a ski town so that’s expected.

I really enjoyed shopping here and supporting the cause for years. However, today when I came in the owner made a remark about the length of my skirt to an employee (while other customers were in the room) that made me deeply uncomfortable. I hate to leave negative reviews but it created a very unwelcoming environment, which was disappointing because I had loved stopping by whenever I was in town.

This place be scalping!...the most expensive thrift store in the country but their products arent anything to be proud of. They are up in here selling used stuff thats on average about 10-20 years old and worn out with an average price of 60% of original retail. You can find a deal every now and then but 90% of their stuff is straight bogus. I even saw some old shirts in there for double the retail cost. I dont know if they just scrooging or if that ole lady in there pricing stuff is just too "telluride" and out of touch with reality.... they got an old bike outside right now from 2012 listed @ $500 😂😂
