If you ride a bicycle anywhere, for any reason, in Santa Clara or San Mateo County, please become an SVBC member, or at least drop by an energizer station during Bike to Wherever Days, collect a swag bag, and sign up for their newsletter.

The Bicycle Coalition organizes bike rides and gatherings, provides valet bicycle parking at many local venues and events, and advocates for safer, friendlier streets across two counties. If you've ever participated in Bike to Wherever Days (formerly Bike to Work Day) in Santa Clara or San Mateo Counties, it was SVBC's event.

Bicycling saves lives, saves money, saves kids, saves wildlife, reduces pollution, reduces climate change, reduces waste, reduces traffic congestion, increases health, increases equity, increases happiness, and gets you high for free on natural endorphins all while getting you where you need to go whether it be work, shopping, parks, or elsewhere. Bicycling is the most efficient form of transportation yet invented by people and is inexpensive, durable, and well-proven technology. The staff are super friendly plus you just roll your bike right into their office as they have lots of bike parking right next to their desks. No need to abandon your bike in the cold wet rain outside when it can be toasty and dry inside. The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition runs bicycle events large and small, educates both kids and adults, and helps local businesses, cities, and counties build safe bicycle facilities for everyone.
