Shannon Nursery School was the best for my daughter. All the teachers were warm and friendly and could handle any situation easily. The care that was given was fantastic and I would recommend any parent to check out the school. My daughter loved to go there and would always hug all the teachers at the end of the day because she felt like they were part of her family. She learned to play and share along with singing and learning the alphabet and even science stuff.
Give them a try especially if you are on a tight budget.

My son is just finishing up a year at Shannon Nursery School, and it has been the best. The teachers are fantastic - so skilled with the kids and organized. I loved that this was a real co-op experience where the parents were a part of the program and had a lot of input in important decisions. But the work load for the parent volunteers was also very manageable. The facility is really great. My son has been so happy here. We are going to be sad to leave and move on to kindergarten.l

We can't say enough praises for Shannon Nursery School! Our 4-year-old daughter has gone to Shannon for the past year, and she absolutely loves going to Shannon Nursery School. She especially enjoys the daily crafts that she does at Shannon, like marble painting, finger painting, and truck painting. The teachers are extremely loving and truly care about the children. This year the teachers organized a fun camping day, a VIP visitor day, preschool day with daddy, along with all of the other holiday parties. The parent participation volunteer days are very manageable, from 2-4 days per month. With the parent helpers, the ratio of teachers/parents to children is 1:4. Shannon Nursery School truly is our daughter’s home away from home.

Shannon Nursery has been such a great experience for both my Son and Daughter. The balance of structure and play based philosophy has been a great stepping stone for both children and the teachers are the best!

I went here as I child myself in the 60's, and my three children went there from 1993-2000.
It has not changed much in the 50 years it's been opened, AND my three children were more then ready for kindergarten! They have all gone onto college my olderst has his Masters in Electrical Engineering, my middle son has a 2 year degree and is now in the apprenticeship program to be an Electrician and my youngest is a Pre Nursing student in college.
At Shannon, they learned excellent life skills and got to be a kid and creative... something many schools have forgotten about. Our kids will have 13-20 years of book work through their educations; so, let them just be a kid and learn the good old fashioned way!
A bonus was working at the school, I felt I really had a grasp on the age group's behavioral patterns and meet some awesome families that have become lifetime friends!
