This is a great gym! It could be better with some newer equipment, and new cleaning rags! But over all a great gym

We come for the swim lessons. Marti is great with my kids; the one who's afraid of water and was stressed that we didn't bring a life jacket is learning and having fun. Would love to have access to the whole rec center because the equipment looks awesome, and I would totally enroll in a course to be able to come here all the time, if only time allowed.

Amazing, helpful faculty and staff. Well trained lifeguards. The pool is incredibly refreshing and well kept beach volleyball and fantastic 2 basketball courts. Pool basketball, lazy river, pool volleyball, hot tub, lap pool, diving pool, showers, air conditioned locker rooms, well cleaned restrooms.

Kathryn and the amazing staff do a great job of organizing just about any type of event you can think of! I can personally vouch for a super fun ping-pong challenge! 😉

I love the recreation center! I’m a student at SFA and It’s such a fun place to not only work out, but also to relax and take dips in the outdoor pool area!

Dream gym for anyone trying to improve physique, gain strength, or develop athleticism. Only thing that creates an inconvenience is the issue of having to check out a ton of basic equipment (foam rollers, resistance bands, yoga balls, etc) form the front desk. These items are very commonly used, even as much so as dumbbells, and having to go through an ordeal to obtain them is ridiculous.

The SFA Rec is a great time! I generally go a minimum of three times a week and couldn’t be happier with my experience. During the semester it can get crowded at times but the summer has been really chill. The rates might seem like a lot at first but with all the amenities, it’s worth it. I pay $30 dollars a month as a student not taking classes over the summer. That includes everything from classes, to equipment, to the pool. The only thing this facility doesn’t have is a sauna.
