In a place ruled by laws criminalizing the homeless population SERVE LA is one of the last if not THE last bastion of HOPE staffed by a league of extraordinary people, devoted in spreading unconditional love! which reminds me of "CHEERS" theme song:

"Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You wanna be where you can see
Our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows your name!"

I give this 4 stars based not on the pastor's or Christian aspect. If you want to see what I think of the church, look at Reality LA review I did. This is about he amazing volunteers that serve the local community of those experiencing homelessness and more.

I use to work here and I lived seei g the amazing volunteers the consistently pursued a Christ like identity while serving freshly and high quality food to the public. The cooks are great and the food comes from some of the best grocery stores in LA.

They work 1k times harder than RLA staff for sure. Waking up early to do food runs, preparing showers and food baskets. Clothing and more. All volunteers doing this for free, with a great love in their heart.

My complaint would be that they don't get to shine for their efforts as RLA staff take the visible credit. I know they are two different business now, but RLA pastor's still preach and are in control of staff, so it's not really two seperate businesses. Probably just on paper for some tax purpose.

If you know someone who needs food or shelter, Serve LA may be a good place to start as they feed two hot meals a day.
