Visited this place this past weekend and Afriye was an absolute gem! The space was a hodge podge of history begging you to feast your eyes. The experience is one I'll have to take full advantage of next time I visit the area. About a block or so from the foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge, the Center connects you to the spirit that begat the Civil Rights Movement and transport you to early Selma and the significance of the Alabama River.

This place is like no other. It sits on the Alabama River directly from the Edmond Pettis bridge. The view is amazing. They host Spring Breaks, Summer Breaks and a variety of trainings from Healing Circles to Conflict Resolution. And the in House Chefs are amazing!! Worth the visit. You can even stay on the property while you're there. Like no other place. Really.
