What a great caring shelter. They take care of unwanted dogs thru transport out of the county and adoption. They hold spayed neuter clinics and vaccination clinics with wonderful volunteers from all over the county. Searcy County is lucky to have this great resource!

I love this shelter and all the people who take care of it, they give all their time and hearts to these animals and our community with spay/neuter clinics and vaccine clinics and they help all they can to make adoption as smooth and easy for adopters and the dogs. I just can't say enough about how the well being of the community and the animals in their care are considered by this group. It is definitely needed here in our community!❤️?

I volunteer here once a week, so I KNOW first-hand how well the fur babies are loved and cared for. The facility is clean and vaccination/medical records are meticulously kept. The dogs are loved on and observed closely for medical and socialization needs. Jean Passmore is more than perfect for the position she holds. She works harder than any MAN wrestling around these furs, taxiing them to and from vet visits, you name it. AND SHE, TOO, IS A VOLUNTEER! This place would fall to the ground and cease to exist without her. Not only does she work there all morning but oftentimes works at the thrift store in Marshall daily, too! Please consider donating to the Searcy County Humane Society! All of the volunteers are so very much appreciated. There are so many every day essentials such as food, bedding (wood shavings, cedar chips, dog bones, Lysol, bleach, Vienna sausages (used for treats) and of course, anything and everything in good shape used to donate to the Searcy County Humane Society Thrift Store). 100% of the proceeds go right back into the shelter.
