This group is suing to stop the development of a useless dairy plant because they claim that it is environmentally unsafe to build new housing near the river.

This is entirely contrary to the reality of housing development as it, in reality, reduces the carbon footprint of residents that are densely located. By building dense housing you reduce significantly per capita the conditioning of spaces within the building due to shared walls and larger more efficient centralized air handling systems. You also greatly reduce the vehicle trips generated compared to single family home developments due to proximity to mass transit, restaurants, stores, and other alternate means of transit.

This group clearly only “cares” about the environment when it means protesting change. This organization does not stand for environmental policies and does not care about Austin.

Thankful that Save Our Springs exists to preserve the ecological health of Austin's natural resources both for the benefit of the environment and for its residents.

Get your naive NIMBY lawsuits out of here. “Save our Springs” more like “Save our Sprawl”. You’re a joke organization who is doing more harm for our city and environment than good

I’m so glad that the Save our Springs Alliance worked so hard to preserve the aquifer in the early nineties. I’m glad SOS is still going.
