I've been calling about an abuse issue in my home. They won't give me the time of day. I've called many times and get some young clerk who says someone will call me back and this goes on and on. Is this where our tax dollars are going? That's one hell of a way to treat people who are in need. 1 year later. Still trying to get some help. They say they are reviewing and then they review some more. Get where I'm going? Total you know what. Let it be for the record that I might not live through this. Thank you so much Social Service for doing absolutely nothing. EL

Not very nice.

I was hospitalized for three days. Turns out I need surgery, and I am having surgery on May 22nd. A social worker at the hospital personally helped me as I was trying to get my insurance transfered quickly to the Santa Clara County. My old county worked well with transferring my medical over to Santa Clara, but a day later on my own when I called Santa Clara CSS to check my case I couldn't get through to a representative. And when I did get through to talk to someone the line would hang up or the representative would hang up the call. This happened to me two days in a row. When I finally talked to someone the person was really rude, and they were mumbling when they talked, not talking professionally at all. The person did not care for the conversation or my situation. The person dismissed my questions so fast, being rude with their tone, and the call ended quickly. It upset me a lot.

Absolutely horrible. Treat you like an enemy for trying to file a CPS report. These people have absolutely no passion for children. It's a cold, calloused, institution.

Update: I had a great experience with different employees. I should not have assumed everyone was the same there. I did have another bad experience as well. So 3 stars overall. My advice is to not give up and try and you will hopefully find someone who is eager to help. It's just like any other business or organization, you have some good apples and some bad ones.

Convenient location, however there isn't very much visitor parking. Went to a business meeting here and there were no maps near the elevators of the conference rooms. The restrooms were clean and accessible. A visitor badge is required if you do not work in this building.

My social worker doing an annual review decided that a4 yr old change was now the sole reason he was being removed entirely from service. That’s right 224 per month to zero

This is a corrupt and wicked organization. They have no accountability and do whatever it takes to steal/kidnap children and hold them hostage to adopt out. There are no attorneys that can help either. If anyone wants to know more and all the details, you can go to Facebook and search...Corrupt Social Worker Stories. So many numbers are disconnected and the ones that ring no one answers and if you are lucky you can leave a message. I requested my Non-identifying information in 3/21/16 and it never came more than a year later. I cannot get a person to help.
