I am deeply disappointed with the Sanctuary of Hope's lack of openness to fathers being involved in their child's life. Fathers play a critical role in the upbringing of their children, but this organization does not seem to support that. My son, Kaleb, and his girlfriend are both 15 years old, and they were placed on probation and separated. The judge specifically mandated that Kaleb should be involved in his child's life, yet Sanctuary of Hope has refused to honor this.

I reached out to them for information regarding the mother of my son's child, who has been placed in their care for a year starting a few days ago. I originally asked for Alyssa, and later asked if there was a blanket rule for all fathers regarding visitation or if it was handled on a case-by-case basis. The staff became increasingly loud and refused to provide any information, even though I have been a crucial support figure in Alyssa’s life, caring for her when she had nowhere else to go.

To make matters worse, I was removed from their contact list the next day for being "rude," although I was simply seeking information in a high-stress situation. As a Christian-based organization for single women, I would expect more empathy and understanding, but instead, we have been shut out.

My son was also mandated by the court to be involved in baby appointments. However, when we arrived for a scheduled appointment, we were told that our presence was making things worse, and more restrictions were imposed. We were even told that when Alyssa gives birth, they would have to call probation first and then us on a three-way call, and if probation does not answer, they won't contact us at all.

This situation has made us feel completely excluded from the baby's life, despite our willingness and efforts to be supportive. We have even completed a non-invasive prenatal paternity test confirming that Kaleb is the biological father with 99.9% accuracy. He has rights as a father, but it feels like the Sanctuary of Hope is against us and unwilling to understand who we are or acknowledge our efforts to be involved.

I hope that in the future, this organization will recognize the importance of both parents in a child's life and offer more inclusive support.

This is in response to the critical review posted about the land purchased for SOH. Also, viewers are cautioned to take any other negative reviews with a 'grain of salt', as the veracity of negative reviews is questionable.

First, to put it bluntly, Pastor Hagee did not need anyone's personal permission or consent (except for perhaps the seller and county) to buy the plot of land that God has chosen to build upon for the mission of safeguarding women and children who would otherwise be homeless. You are the one who should be ashamed at criticizing a Pastor who is true to the Word of the Lord, taking care of women and children who can't fend for themselves, especially those potentially murdered by the atrocities of abortions. As for your argument of snakes, bobcats etc. - who cares? That's Texas for ya, remember it was all wilderness at some point, and I'm sure when the land is cleared the children won't be rooming with them. As for Pastor Hagee - keep marching with the banner of the Lord as your flagstaff!! Thank God we have an emboldened Pastor who does what's right and doesn't shy away from criticism. My family loves you and your wonderful church, and we can't wait to volunteer at Sanctuary of Hope.

This place is a blessing! I almost had to give my son away until I heard about this place, I am now able to raise my son and continue my education without worrying about childcare! This place is an amazing opportunity to finish school and create amazing habits! I now know who god is and now have been saved! Thank you pastor Hagee for SOH!

I am weary
I think the concept is amazing and a blessing.
I think unbiased over site is necessary. It’s sad that people are allowed to be kept here against their will. That seems a bit, I dunno… unsavory.
But alas with time and prayer all things are brought to the light. Really hoping it’s positive as promised.
I am confused though I have read many reviews and they say it’s an orphanage. I hear others say it’s a place for moms and babies to grow together.
A guilded cage, is a cage none the less

I’m reserving finally decision for another year or two.

I am a pediatric ICU RN, and work at the local hospital in this community and I couldn't be more ecstatic about the Sanctuary of Hope. It saddens me there is a review on here that wants to shame Pastor Hagee, when his heart is to only impact the kingdom of God, and save lives. In response to the lady who wanted to shame Pastor Hagee for choosing an area that would serve as a refuge, and provide privacy to hurting women and children, there are plenty of ways to keep snakes, etc off the land he has chosen, one being the almighty hand of God. I guess there will always be criticizers even when your heart is in the right place. I am eager to volunteer at this wonderful orphanage in the future, and provide hope to the hurting. Thank you Pastor Hagee for allowing me to fulfill my dream in making a difference with these precious lives in the future.

I encourage the prior post to be optimistic. I moved into a well kept community. One year later the house next to me sold and I didn't have a say in who bought it. Sadly it soon became an eye sore, so I understand the initial concern. However, Sanctuary of Hope will be kept in pristine condition and will not negatively affect property values.

What a beautiful thing to see a Pastor creating an environment for mothers and children in their moment of need. What a shame to read a negative comment on here over something that will provide a positive impact on the lives of so many.
