The worst place to let take your kids they put you through too much for no reason then expect you to have a job and add more stuff to it which makes it harder ridiculous Then it seems like we have to do their job for them SMH

They took my grandson then put him in a foster home I have not seen him in many months. They won't even return my call. They are not here for the children. I am afraid I will never see him again.

i’ve had the most terrible 3 year i got to be in foster care. i got there with my sister her son and me and my daughter the promised me and my sister that we would be with our kids our whole goal was for us not to be separated from our kids but they kept assuring us that we would be mind you i just had my daughter 2 weeks before being took and didn’t think or try their best for us to be places together i currently just aged out the system and now ive developed all these habits that im not mentally okay anymore they made me so depressed have anxiety. What i been throught in cps should have not ever been acceptable i went to this place in houston when i started to notice that my skin was itching like crazy to the point where i would make myself bleed they did not ever think to take me to the doctor i kept telling them somemething is wrong they didnt car till this girl wanted to jump me in my sleep and the ambulance were called when they came they seen my eyes and were concerned that they need to take me straight to the ambulance where to find out my liver was failing and when my real mom was able to come come 9 hours way for her to sleep there one night and my case worker emailing the hospital to tell them she could not stay there while i was dying they also sent me to a behavioral hospital where their reasoning was “ postpartum depression” for sending me there of course i am a little sad i did not see my newborn baby for almost a year

From what I can tell this place has no interest in children and parents. What they have a concern for, I do not know. Tasia I think was the coworker mentioned. She was very timely in some situations, but in the ones that had to do with family, she was not. I hope St Francis has the best success with these children, but I hope they listen to the children, follow through with their word(and their own), and destine themselves to do some real damn family work. We all need the kids to be ok.

Terrible. I pray for all the children in their care... my experience was horrible the worst 5 years of my life they took me out of my home and took me from placement to placement from City to City they took me to places where I had gotten jumped and beat up and strangled by other children I had gotten beat up and assaulted and abused by caregivers that worked at the Foster facilities I was placed in that worked with the St Francis Ministries I was constantly on multiple medications that constantly changed they never gave me time to get used to my medications and never gave my medications time to work evaluations every 3 months if I said I was a little more sad than they upped my dosage I got into a total of 24 fights while being in St Francis Ministries foster care and I had gotten into a total of eight jumping's by other youth and I had three near-death experiences I had two youth on two different occasions try and slit my throat and I had one use strangle me to the point I was unable to feel my lower half they say that they take you away from your family to help you and help your families they never tried to help my mother or give her any kind of support to get a house or get a job or get a car they did not try to help her in any type of way they told me that if I was unable to reach the standards that they say fit me then I was unable to go home if my mom got her stuff together or not they told me I would be unable to go home if I didn't get my anger under control or my outburst I went through more traumatic experiences and experienced more traumatic things and feelings I had more problems than I ever did before and took more medications that I ever did before I had a good life before Saint Francis Ministries took me out of the care of my mom I am now 17 and had just left the St Francis Ministries foster care in February of 2024 I had ran away to Oklahoma City and they had a court hearing and the judge and the lawyers had told me that they want to close my case that they are done with my case because since I am at the age of 17 in the state of Texas 17 is considered illegal adult they said that since I am 17 if I were to come back to Texas they are not allowed to force me to go anywhere I am not wanting to go I've lost multiple of clothing items in sentimental value items valuable items they have lost full suitcases in bags of mine they misplaced my social security and birth certificate I just pray for every child that is in the Saint Francis Ministries foster care it is a terrible placement and I would not recommend it to anybody and if I had the choice to I would make a lawsuit to Saint Francis Ministries myself because the same Francis Ministries does more neglect and more abuse and more problems than any child would have to worry about being in their own homes

Our caseworker out of Amarillo was the best the past year. She helped us adopt a child that is extremely happy.

Aimee Paquette does not need to be a coordinator. She was rude to the volunteers in a poorly managed adoption event. She really took the joy out of those who wished to help. Do better.
